I needed something to relearn Premiere with so I made this video. The only thing worse than playing mario kart for 4 hours is trying to edit down 4 hours of Mario Party in to 10 minutes. ENJOY!
Mario Party Party 3 Super Depressing Cut
@subrandom: You're doing God's work. It's all the greatest and most memorable moments of MPP3 condensed.
PS: remember how much whining there was on the boards about how Brad spent the whole stream complaining and dissing the game when that was actually Jeff 90% of the time (and also how everything he said was true and/or awesome)? That was pretty stupid, right?
@trafalgarlaw: It doesnt look like it for me? After what point?
@chrissedoff: Yeah its actually pretty even, there is a lot of Drew that got cut out.

I would argue that the original cut of Mario Party Party 3 is already the super depressing cut.
this is very very true. I think I've seen the whole thing at least 3 times over. It hurts.

I watched it when it originally aired live and I can't bring myself to ever watch it again.
Why did they do 50 turns?! Are they nuts?
Also that's the first video I've ever watched with Dan in it, he's pretty funny.
That map is legit one of the worst Mario Party maps I've ever seen. There is nothing interesting that happens on it. There's a tree that gives you a random benefit or randomly fucks you up, and there is that dumb signpost-switching toll you can pay in the very specific scenario where you can use those signposts to make someone move away from the star instead of towards it. That's it. It's TERRIBLE.

Jeff was passionate about his hate though. Brad just gave up.
@sethphotopoulos: He still played to win. People were going to throw a hissy fit aimed in Brad's direction no matter what he did. If anything, people just seemed to be more agitated that Brad didn't complain much and just accepted Mario Party's bullshit. It derailed the usual Brad-bashing narrative, so I guess they just pretended the much more vocal frustration expressed by Jeff and Drew came from Brad because once bullies have picked their target, they stick with it even if it defies all logic.

The complaints weren't that he was dissing the game, but that he was being a wet towel. Jeff is obviously just as negative on the game if not more so, but Jeff more than anyone on the site has a way of channeling his angers and frustrations in humorous ways. There's nothing funny about the "whatever, I don't even care" attitude.
There's nothing funny about the "whatever, I don't even care" attitude.
That's objectively wrong, since the funniest moment was when Brad won 500 coins and said "You know what the best part is? I don't care".

Not at all. Mario Party 2 Brad where he actually gave a shit was way more fun to watch. After he hit everyone with the coin beam the first time and destroyed everyone's coins, you really think it would have been improved if instead he had been completely indifferent about it?

I would argue that Mario Party's very existence is the most depressing cut of all.
You know who were the real wet towels? The people complaining about Brad supposedly being a wet towel.
I greatly enjoyed the show and Brad's antics. Reading all the comments afterwards was what brought me down.
Edit: And now I'm just contributing more to the dumb shit and taking away from the great work provided here. Good stuff TC.

Not buying it. The truth is that the Brad-bullies operate on primal, baboon-like level. When they see something that annoys them, like the gang being meanies to their precious Mario Party game, they can't help but screech and fling shit. But they see Jeff as the alpha and Drew has achieved sort of a golden boy status, so only the really maverick jerks go after them. They notice Brad is a bit self-conscious and awkward at times so they've singled him out as the most vulnerable target and therefore safe for cowards like them to attack. He's the scapegoat whenever the uncivilized hooligans get disgruntled. He's the vessel to which all of Giant Bomb's content's perceived faults are transferred. You can tell that everything I've written is true because the logic used to justify it is so amorphous and gelatin-like; it changes its shape whenever I poke at it like I did further up the page.
Jeff going to Gilbert Gottfried levels of dark humor with the Holocaust joke at 9:25! Is that what Mario Party does to a man? (I realize he wasn't making a direct allusion to the Holocaust, but my point stands!)
Mario Party 1: Denial that you're going to be stuck recording this series for ~40 hours of your life.
Mario Party 2: Anger at Nintendo for Mario Party. Anger at Dan for forcing it upon the crew. Anger at the world for allowing 50 turns to happen.
Mario Party 3: Bargaining. Perhaps we skip right to Mario Party 10? Perhaps we make that the quicklook?
Mario Party 4: Depression. Realization that the cold, dark days of the Gamecube are upon you.
Mario Party 5: Acceptance. Jeff gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. Jeff had won the victory over himself. Jeff loved Mario Party.

Absolutely. Mario Party Zen Brad was fantastic.

Fair enough for those that enjoyed it. But it isn't dog piling or some grand conspiracy against Brad for those of us that found his change in attitude off-putting.
