Mature Gaming YouTube Channels

YouTube's recommended channels feature sucks. Can you guys suggest to me some of your favourite gaming YouTube channels that are mature. I'm looking for any sort of mature gaming content, presented in a mature way. For example I really like the channel rev3games. But i'm looking for channels where it's just one person who loves games and presents them in a mature way. I hate all of the dumb Minecraft/lets play channels that YouTube is over saturated with. I'm not entirely against lets plays as long as the commentator isn't screaming at me and is actually presenting me with interesting game play and commentary. I really like informative content and and background information and stuff like that.

Anyway we'll go from here i'll let you know on the suggestions what I like and dislike more.

So what mature gaming YouTube channels are you subscribed to? Any suggestions and help would be awesome!

Of course, there's also http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicNameBro for all things dark souls, demon's souls and some other stuff like an insane run of cave story on hard.

Classic game room and Lukemorse1 are pretty awesome,they are the only gaming related channel's i watch on youtube,

I think you may be approaching it from the wrong angle. It's not meant to be a "serious" take on game reviewing, like Giant Bomb's or any other major gaming site's, and that's I like CGR exactly for that: he doesn't take himself seriously. It's a breath of fresh air when a "reviewer" can say something nice about a game, no matter how awful it is.

Fair enough, he just wasn't for me! I like bad games too though! I own all versions of Rogue Warrior, for instance.

Metal Jesus Rocks. The name's dumb but the guy's awesome. He's like CollectShun Jeff but with an organized nightmare.

Has all sorts of cool videos and seems to live the dream. Play guitar, collect video games, with a wife that's into it, too.

Smudboy is you want the Mass Effect series torn apart in a intelligent way. Not irate hate just inconsistencies and plot holes in the series and storytelling of all three as well as Deus Ex HR and Dragon Age 2.

NakaTeleeli is a really great, mature LPer (with his sometimes not-quite-as-mature friend who's on now and again).

I feel like when people constantly repeat the word "mature", they actually mean "an adult that uses a lot of curse words and talks about porn". You know, instead of a kid that does those same things.

As far as Let's Plays are concerned, the already mentioned Zemalf is good, although a bit of an acquired taste. LuckyLoremaster is good, too (both are quite slow players). My favourite is by far Veriax

Generally, if I am to watch an LP, I prefer someone that plays seriously, either roleplaying or ironmaning, rather than someone who tries to be witty or funny all the time.

If you want to watch multiplayer FPS/TPS (primarily Gears, Halo, Planetside 2 right now) arCtyC is pretty good.

Toegoff is a great game commentator.

These are some good suggestions but i'm not really looking for lets plays more of showcasing games, game news and reflections and informative gaming related features.

@Getz: Though I did watch a bit of the Trespasser LP from research indicates and man that is some quality! Good lets play suggestion.

@believer258: I do like TotalBiscuit, he puts up a lot of content I don't care for though, such as Planetside 2 stuff and dota stuff. I watch most of his WTF is? series.

InecomCompany (CGR), AngryJoeShow, 3killabytes, simracingtonight (they review arcade games too) and Dazran303 (WiiU/CoD comentary (i hate CoD but he plays using a WiiMote which is interesting))

Totalbiscuit is pretty good. Covers a lot of games pretty indepth, without any of the goofyness or pretending to be angry.

Any suggestions for a gaming news show, where they wrap the days news up? kind of like IGN's daily fix if you've seen that, a little more in depth though.

I really like Happy Console Gamer, he does some awesome series retrospectives and I generally just like the cut of his jib.

TotalBiscuit is pretty good. I also like EpicNameBro for darksouls and demonsouls and other games as well. You can also try Northernlion. He does a lot of indie games and usually produces pretty good content.

None of the dumb stuff I've done over the years. I'll be honest and say that I can easily make an argument and justify the content of what's there and why that's compelling, but in terms of tone and pacing you're not going to get particularly insightful or measured commentary on games. It's a take-it-or-leave-and-first-let-me-tell-you-some-things-up-front-kind-to-understand-what-you're-watching kind of thing. I think it's more about the fact that I can and am willing to do that is the important part, not that it's anything better than your average "let's shoot the shit and play these games".

SuperGreatFriend is a brilliant LPer. He plays a lot of weirdo japanese horror games, like D 1&2 and imo the best Deadly Premonition lp. He is really informative, real calm, and doesn't resort to the stock youtube video game dude screaming and cussing up a storm. He also covers Xblig games.

Oh good god no. The guy is a moron who knows nothing about games, instead just choosing to mirror whatever trivial bullshit his forum of idiots seem to be currently moaning about. Not to mention the man is painfully unfunny. Hes the complete opposite of mature.

Good suggestions! The Force's Force Feed is pretty much what I was looking for.

He does a ton of Sims 3 stuff for whatever reason too. Even if they do not seem to interest you watch the video his humor is very good in my opinion.

Davidr64yt is really good and has some good lets plays, he is doing a farcry 3 run right now and one of the videos was him playing poker for over an hour good stuff.

I also have to say Northernlion has become one of my favorite people to watch, he is mature and really shows off games well.

Helloween4545 is pretty good as well with alot of horror themed games.

For history of type stuff I like, all your history are belong to us, DYKgaming, and lophatjello.


For less mature content but still quality stuff I recommend yogscast, seananners, and angry joe.

I admit I don't follow him that much to know what goes on in his forum, so maybe you're right about that, I don't know. He does have a rather silly (which is not necessarily a bad thing) way of presenting his reviews, but because of the fact that, to me at least, he seems to not be pulling any punches when he dislikes games and to be actually using the whole range of the 10-point scale - plus, he does some collaborations with TB, which is also the reason I was reminded of him - makes him mature enough to be mentioned.

Funniness can be subjective, so I really can't argue with anyone who doesn't find him funny. Why do you say that he knows nothing about videogames, though?
