Didn't see that coming a mile away. /sarcasm

Set in modern times of course.

“EA has always been an advocate for telling the soldiers’ story. The new Medal of Honor follows that tradition. We felt it was important to tell the story of today’s war and today’s elite soldiers via today’s most relevant medium – videogames,” said Sean Decker, VP and General Manager of EALA. “We are so proud to bring together two powerhouse development teams to make this game a reality; EA Los Angeles and EA DICE. Medal of Honor promises to be an unforgettable entry in the modern shooter genre.”

Tune in to Spike TV’s 2009 Video Game Awards on Saturday, December 12 at 8pm PST for a world-premier first-look at Medal of Honor.

Hmmm. Well, it could be good right? Whatever, we'll see I guess. I never liked the Medal of Honor games much. I think I played the demo of one on the PS1 back in the day.

What story were they telling in Medal of Honor: Airborne?
I don't remember anything about a big Nazi Tower of doom.

I don't know if I wanna play this game since they've been going down hill for a while
I really only liked Medal of Honor for the PS1 and then Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for the PC :/
Well Pacific Assault was ok too, but didn't feel all that special to me like MOH:AA did

Given how bad their money situation is I can't say I'm surprised. Still though, I can't help but get the feeling of "me too" from this.

Either way it'll be a surprise.

"Oh, they actually did go modern."
"So..they actually stuck with WWII"

Or they can say fuck you, and go to Vietnam.

Although I like the clean-ness of the boxart, it looks kinda dull and dry.

Im sort of sad about this since I personally love WW2 games still, and at this point Modern Warfare seems to be in the same spot WW2 was a few years ago in terms of being a way too common setting. Ill look into it because I personally rather liked Medal of Honor: Airbourne. Fingers crossed it will be good but Im not totally hopfully but slightly.

I think it will be a good game but the originality just isn't there.

They want a slice of that multiplayer pie, can't see them topping MW2's multiplayer, but If they focus and deliver a good singleplayer campaign I can see this as a good thing, MW2s campaign was a joke.

Plus, that beard is rocking.

Yes! That is so what they should have done. It's more modern then WW2 (obviously) for the people who do not want to ever play a WW2 game again. EVER.

And they already have BF:BC for a modern tale, do something else.

Ea says they want to tell the soldiers story, well in that's all there was. Trying to stay alive while at the same time keep your buddies alive, there is no
better solider story then that.
