Microsoft Points Dilemma

I'm having a bit of a problem here, Giant Bomb.  I went shopping for various Christmas gifts for various relatives and snatched a 1600 Microsoft points card for one of my cousins.  The thing is, though his girlfriend accidentally snatched the wrong version of Modern Warfare 2 for him (he wanted the PS3 version), he vastly prefers the PS3 for his gaming needs.  The likelyhood of him browsing the 360's marketplace are slim to none as he simply ignores my purchase suggestions of Castle Crashers, Peggle, 'Splosion Man, i.e. anything he deems childish and stupid.  Ever since I've purchased that little card, I've been wanting to get The Maw for 400 points because it's going to be the Deal of the Week for the week of December 28th, oh, and by the way, Shadow Complex will be 33% off for 800 Microsoft Points on the week of December 21th.  My question here, Giant Bomb, is should I just redeem the code myself and get something else for him or give the gift of love, that probably won't be put to good use?  Is The Maw worth stealing a free 20 bucks from my cousin?

I say use the card yourself and buy him a $20 PSN card.

Why did you buy him that if you know he would prefer a PSN card anyway? 

bring it back for the psn card. or u could use it on urself and buy a psn card.

1. Treat yourself with the MS Points card.
 
2. Go to Amazon and buy XBLA codes for Castle Crashers, Peggle, and/or 'Splosion Man and give them to your cousin. That way you can give him the gift of showing him that great games are great.
