Halo
Most Boring Game You've Played
" Final Fantasy XIII I'm not just saying that. I truly found the game to be boring. "Definitely this.
" @TaliciaDragonsong said:I started that up again after Jeff was talking about playing some Phantasy Star so I got the itch and popped in PSU, however I too fell asleep after a few hours of mindless grinding. I guess I just don't have what it takes anymore." Phantasy Star Universe. I actually fell asleep playing it... "I laughed "
I would have to say FF XIII was pretty killer. It just seemed like I kept doing the same exact thing over and over again in battle and by chapter 10 I just didn't want to play anymore. I know it opens up and gets better and all that, but goddamn.
I would either say Fallout 3 or World of Warcraft which is funny seeing as how I've logged 100 hours in Fallout 3 and much more in wow....
Actually, I take back what I said about Red Dead. Super Play Action Football was boring as hell.
" What is the most boring game you ever played? "That price goes probably to "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess". Never before have I been so bored by an otherwise highly polished game. No amount of polish can make me unremember all the other Zeldas already played before that and get me excited about getting the boomerang yet again.
PS: Note this is "most boring game ever played" not "most boring game ever"
If I seperate the "boring" games in my mind from the games that are just bad, then Oblivion sticks out as something incredibly boring to me.
Loving Fallout 3 so far though, I don't know how that works.
personally i would say ff13
i had been patient with the game but by the37th hour, i just got burned out
I know it's a very controversial thing to say but...
God, damn... Dragon Age Origins got boring as hell... Same shit over and over again with characters I really don't care much for.
It just doesn't have the charm that Baldur's Gate 2 had.
" @gamb1t said:ya i agree with you" gears of war / halo / world of warcraft cant get far no matter how many times i try "taking going against the grain to the next level! And for me id say Farmville "
although I didnt play Farmville so Ill say Plants vs. Zombies
GTA IV got pretty dry fast, I even have both of the expansions and neither have been completed.
Rise of the Argonauts was a game I got with a magazine subscription and I only managed one 30 minute play with it.
Very biased but the Call of Duty games put me to sleep.
I get the feeling a lot people here equate "game I really disliked" with "boring", which is understandable to a certain degree.
Most recently, I remember Numen: Contest of Heroes being pretty boring. It's not that the game is offensively bad or anything, but it feels very flat and plodding. It was only 2 bucks on Steam, so I guess I can't complain.
I also tried out Anarchy Online several years back when it became free and recall that being an incredibly drab experience.

Unpopular opinions: Gear of War, Goldeneye Wii(only played single player), Kingdom Hearts(haven't watched much disney so didn't get references), The World Ends With You, any Zelda DS.
Others: Lost Planet, Metroid Prime: Hunters, Soul Calibur 4, Final Fantasy 12, Splinter Cell(original), Forza.
I also find RPG games kinda boring since I'm not a huge fan of the genre. I still haven't finished Final Fantasy VII and VIII. I'm surprised a lot of people mention Fallout 3. Overall, it's not a boring game but yeah, it has its dull moments.
@HitmanAgent47: I agree. I love watching the cutscenes in all the Metal Gear games but MGS4 has way too much. The game has a poor balance of gameplay and cutscenes. I dozed off a few times, which I rarely do when playing a game.
"I would either say Fallout 3 or World of Warcraft which is funny seeing as how I've logged 100 hours in Fallout 3 and much more in wow.... "
Yeah, I don't know how to explain Fallout 3, really. I wasn't really having fun with it, or enjoying what I was doing particularly much, but it somehow kept me engaged.
In recent memory I would say kane and lynch, I only played it recently because got it as a gift. Frustrating and largely uninteresting. I can't really remember any boring games because if a game becomes boring I stop playing and it doesn't really leave much of an impression to be remembered.
Far Cry 2. Forced myself to play on past the 1st hour telling myself 'its gotta get interesting at some point'.
It did not.
Shenmue.
I guess I understand why some people think highly of it, but I cannot for the life of me think of a game more tedious than Shenmue.
