Can they just hire Jeff Bakalar already? seriously the dudes a gem and he meshes in perfectly I find. I think he would be an incredible match with Giant Bomb. Like imagine him in GOTY discussions with the whole team.
Mr Backalar
Jeff is rad. He fits in super well with the crew, I love how fast the Beastcast coalesced, seemed like there was zero time spent getting used to each other. Also, I can't explain why, but I love it every time he calls Vinny an asshole or something. Nobody else really does that (cause he's Vinny, obv.) but Jeff, and it's the best.
Dude already has a job that he seems to like and the on the beastcast almost every week seems like a win win.
I backalar this position.
But then they wouldn't have a good way to keep making the same joke about CNET review scores.
Maybe that will get old if they keep doing them, but I've found those jokes hilarious so far haha.
I think it's great with him coming into the Beastcast for outside perspective and I love him on it. Not sure why but it just makes me happy hearing him there. I actually like how he has a separate view from the rest of GB, like when he can talk about reviewing the same games as GB.
Now this is a reference I am not getting:
Skip the middle man and just hire LL Cool J.
We need to forge him with more FMVinny content. Only after surviving these trials of madness i will agree.
(Jeff B is great. He makes Vinny flourish even more being a good sport while being the target of terrible puns and jokes, or playing the straight man)
Jeff Bakalar @jeffbakalar is incredible on the Beastcast and the Quick looks. He sounded really bummed after losing to Alex in the NHL quick look
I cannot recommend enough checking out his stuff on CNET. You're not cheating on Giant Bomb by visiting there. I promise.
@dixavd: Nah keep those trashy guys out. He'll be asking us to like, share and subscribe to his stuff all the damn time.
@sparky_buzzsaw - I was disappointed to find out he doesn't actually give stupid review scores like a "68 out of Masterchief"
Just came in here to say that Jeff is a cool guy. He has that same laid back, every man approach that the rest of the crew do. As much as I appreciate Austin, just like Patrick he has this tendency to try and peel back the layers of anything they talk about, even when those layers aren't really there. I guess it comes with the territory, but sometimes you just have to turn your brain off, kick back, and shoot some faces without over analyzing the deeper socio-economic repercussions of everything.
@humanity: I love that Austin always brings stuff like that up. I think it's great that there's one person that brings that element into discussions.
@hypnotoadbrwowrowrow: I love that he brings interesting facets of the conversation to light as well. I just don't love it when it's done too often because it begins to feel forced. Thats just me though, I've always been an advocate of "they're just games" which I know is not a super popular opinion in this day and age.

Yeah I am enjoying that as well. I like his perspective vs the other guys.
I didn't understand the youth minister jokes until I saw a photo of him and went "Yeah, I can see that dude rapping about Jesus"
Isn't he already 'hired?' He works for the same parent company. But yeah. I love me some god damn Backalar.
Only when CNET makes him Mr Sackalar so he can join the Giant Bomb Spectacular.
Then again two Jeffs might get a bit confusing.
He already works here, dude.
Why do they need to hire him? He already works for the same company.
I know this is a joke (ish) type of thread, but for those that are serious about this read these two posts. Dude works for the same company. That would be like living next door to your best friend in an apartment complex and then asking him/her to move in so you two can be closer to each other.
He basically works there as people have pointed out, but yeah the more Bakalar the better. Him and Vinny together almost reaches Vinny/Dave levels of funny.
