Multiplayer Games you will play Q4 of 2018

I have my Single Player games that I want to play, but I also am still deciding on multiplayer games to play until the end of the year.

So far on my list I have :

Gears of War 4 (PC) I loved the Gears 1 & 2 Multiplayer. At one point in Gears 1 I was at the top of the leaderboards in the world, and it felt great. I don't know if I can get back to that status again, but Gears is a great 3rd person action competitive shooter.

Destiny 2 (PS4) Loot Grab, Sci Fi Action

Overwatch (PC) I have 700 Hours already in this game. I won't frequent it as much as before, but I will still jump in from time to time when I want that TF2 style fun cooperative team based shooter.

Black Ops 4 (PC) I haven't played a Call of Duty game in years, but I will pick this up since they are doing away with the SP Campaign and solely focusing on MP. It's how COD games should be IMO. Ill spend time with this when I want that twitch PVP Gunplay action.

Rainbow Six Siege (PC) Played Rainbow Six 3 religiously. It was one of my favorite games. Community is strong. I prefer this over Ghost Recon because there is less open world, and I can get right into the action and Cooperate with my team in this realistic shooter.

Street Fighter V (PC) The 5th Street Fighter game, online is solid. Whether you are casual or hardcore fan of fighting games, you will have a blast.

Red Dead Redemption (PS4) Should be interesting how the mp pans out.

BFV (PC) If they do squad based WWII combat right i'm in. I heard future add-on maps and content will be free, which should make things easier with all the issues in the past with micro transactions and DLC.

BF1 (I beat the Campaign , but would like to play the MP more before the servers start to die down)

The only multiplayer games I've played this year have been co-op games: Monster Hunter World, Metal Gear Survive, and Dragon's Crown Pro. I put around 100 hours into each of them, and I hope Artifact is good enough to put even more into it.

Forza Horizon 4 should keep me plenty busy. I might check in on Overwatch, and if I have enough money, I'll get Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

I will say that I immensely enjoyed the beta for Battlefield V, but I will most likely skip it. I'm not into Battle Royal, but even in it's beta form, Black Ops 4 is the most fun I had with the mode/genre.

Overwatch and Soul Calibur VI when it drops.

Might casually play some Dragonball Fighterz when my buddy comes back to the US for his winter break, but other than that everything is pretty set in stone.

Yeah, I'm excited for Soul Caliber VI.

PUBG - The game I play with my friends every night (or so)

Battlefield V - Sceptical after the mess of BF1, but hoping DICE can get back to form

Insurgency: Sandstorm - Love the tactical gameplay without being too mil-simmy

World War III - Interested if this can replace BF for me

Battlefield V. The beta was great so hoping the full game only gets better

@savage: What did you think of Metal Gear Survive? I don't really play multiplayer games often, but I have put over a couple of hundred hours into MGSV and I really dig the fox engine. Did the gameplay hold up?

There was an Overwatch free weekend a while back that got me thinking about jumping back into that game. Other than that, Soul Calibur 6 is the only other multiplayer game I'm interested in at the moment.

@wanlaghima: Compared to MGSV, Survive is more about repetition and min-maxing. The progression systems are the draw. The question is how much and how long you enjoy the grind. If you like the Fox Engine and you like loot games/resource gathering games, you'll probably like Survive, whereas if you're a content tourist or a traditional Metal Gear fan, you probably won't.

I'm counting the seconds on the clock till Battlefield V launches on PC. Love me some Battlefield.
I'll probably end up getting Black Ops on Xbox to play with my console cousins.
Obviously getting Red Dead so I'm interested in what that multiplayer will be like.
On the fence about Fallout 76, might be something I pick up later.
Other than that I'll be jumping back and forth with games I already play and some single player backlog titles.

Nice. I am reconsidering adding BFV to the list after reading more into the title. It's cool that DLC will be free. I also like that COD BlackOps 4 will be MP only. I feel like thats what it should be these days.

I hear ya on the single player backlog titles. Mine are getting pretty extensive. Hopefully I can grind some down before the end of November.

I'll probably bite the bullet and go back into Destiny 2.

Apart from playing Halo MCC co-op with my wife, I don't really touch multiplayer anymore. Sometimes I think about getting into Destiny. I'm not sure if that's actually enjoyable after the zeitgeist has moved on or not.

I don't really play multiplayer games these days due to my friends being relatively casual gamers. I might end up playing Black Ops 4 or Fortnite if I'm at a friend's house, but that's about it. However I will watch youtubers play multiplayer games and the ones I look forward to the most are Red Dead 2, Fallout 76 and the best game ever made Smash Ultimate. That game could easily be my favorite game ever if I owned a Switch, which I probably won't for a couple years and I am really sad about that. Oh I'll also continue watching people play Siege and PUBG occasionally, as those are still entertaining every now and then.

I like my FPS fairly hardcore without being ARMA hardcore, RO2, despite being super dated, fills that niche for me. I've played Rising Storm 2 (the sequel-ish to RO2), but still prefer RO2.

Fallout 76

My girlfriend and I are going to power our way through the rest of the first Overcooked's DLC, my brother will join us for our Kirby Star Allies run, and he and I are going to beat the living crap out of each other in Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Siege is life.

Play with four friends every Sunday evening, and then at least with a couple of them throughout the week.

Red Dead and Black Ops 4. Red Dead will mostly be singleplayer, cause I don't have high hopes for the multiplayer, but the Black Ops 4 beta really surprised me with it's battle royale mode, so I'll be doing plenty of that and the regular multiplayer.

Waiting for the New pubg map !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We should be test server ready november i hope at least.

If you like battle royale games try Ring of Elysium. I'm not a huge fan of PUBG, but Ring of Elysium is extremely polished, and I am enjoying it a lot. Currently 20k players playing. Every day I check there are 2-5k more player playings. Could be the next big battle royale game.

i wish us eu players could play that game, it looks cool.

How has nobody said Fortnite? those battle-pass seasons are addictive , you get a lot for your 10 dollars and the game continues to evolve

CS:GO for the Global Elite without cheating. I was playing in 1.6 for so long time and have fun with the play on low-level now with noobs. I kill them all :D

Well I wanted to get back into Gears 4 on PC, but the game is freezing on me every 5-10 minutes into a horde mode. Seems like this is a fairly common occurrence and is due to newer nVidia drivers not working with Gears 4. Serious bummer.

So I will probably just play Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V with the occasional Overwatch match here and there.
