The original Yakuza and the sequels that came along after it. Back in the day, my PS2 was like, the greatest console I ever owned, but I think I was too caught up in JRPGs and Pokemon to ever pick up the games. I'm sure I could buy the titles for cheap via Amazon, but I think it's too late.
No One Lives Forever 2. The original is one of my all-time favorites. I didn't have a PC capable of running the sequel when it came out, and now it's a hard game to find, and the places that do have it ask quite a bit of money. I would still love to play it today, though.
There are a bunch of SNES games I've never played, simply because I had a Genesis as a kid and never got the chance to play them. Biggest ones would probably be Earthbound and any number of Super Mario games.
All the Zelda games, all of those other Nintendo games I missed out of by owning all of Nintendo's consoles but never subscribing to Nintendo Power and never having friends that told me good games to by. My early gaming experiences were unfortunately at the whim of my mom's boyfriend at the time who basically just bought a sega saturn and any hockey game that existed. I was lucky enough to play sonic a bit and mario 64 for a bit until my n64 was pawned out for a computer (like the best and worst way to get your kid a christmas gift right?).
Basically what I'm saying is I am ashamed of my early gaming experiences.
I remember playing Armored Core on Ps2 and I loved it then they finally came out with one for the Ps3 and I never played it because I read the reviews and they were all saying the same negative things about it which has made me hesitant
I always wanted to play Hit The Ice for the NES. I remember seeing a preview for it in Nintendo Power, it was only recently that I looked it up and found out it was cancelled.
Oldest... maybe Super Metroid. Or one of the first couple Mega Mans. Those two series are the major gaps in my gaming history.
Recently I picked up Red Dead Redemption out of the bargain bin. I have intended to get around to that one since it was released. That will be my Christmas holiday game this year I think.
An obscure one, but I almost bought a Saturn in Japan so that I could play "Princess Crown", the precursor to Odin Sphere. I also want to play the last two Shadow Hearts games.
I think Super Metroid would be my answer. Heard so many great things about it over the years but never owned a Super Nintendo. So I guess that said, I have quite a few SNES games to choose from. When I get a Wii (I know I'm a bit behind) I plan on getting both the Kirby and Mario Collections that came out on it, and then getting Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, the Donkey Kong Country games, and a bunch of others not made by Nintendo. I might start a thread asking what games to get when I get one, hopefully later this year.
Oh man, you have a lot to look forward to. SNES games have aged really well, unlike N64 games. Super Metroid is still one of the best games of all time.
Secret Of Mana. My SNES was pretty much a Street Fighter II machine so I missed out on a lot of games of that era. I imagine there are similar kids today who only play multiplayer shooters but are missing out on games like Mass Effect and Portal.
Rogue Galaxy is one I have had in my backlog for some time. I got it for $5 when I found it at the bottom of a random bargain bin at a Wal-Mart a year or two back. Could not believe my luck. It must have just kept falling through the cracks and no one bought it. The really big one for me is Baldur's Gate 2. I played the hell out of it when I was a kid and loved it, but I somehow got distracted by other stuff and never got back to it.
