Need help before I go insane! What's a real life Katamari called?

OK. So I was explaining to my friend that when i was about 5, about 14 years ago, I had what looked like a katamari. It was purple, and had yellow pegs on it instead of the balls you see in katamari. Also it didn't roll things up... it just moved around by vibrating so it would land on different pegs. So I tried to go online to find a picture of what one looks like, only for it to seem like no such toy existed. I can't find a single picture or reference to one! Can someone help me out here before I go crazy!
