All, things are still rolling out. So a few notes for all of you are interested.
The main purpose of this was to simply reskin the header. We have other plans for the sites but for now the big thing we wanted to do was improve the navigation.
The nav is using box-flex css to make it all stretchy and fluid which right now is only supported in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Other browsers will get a somewhat more simplified version.
The font being used is Proxima and then sans-serif (so Helvetica, Arial, etc depending on your browser). Ehh yeah I hear ya on the decision on this. I thought I'd try it and see how it looks. If we roll back I will probably go back to helvetica for body and keep custom fonts on the header.

Yeah I noticed how the task bar up top really catches the eye and draws you to look at all the options.

The Crappening - It's what happens to every site that updates their interface. First you catch a glimpse of it and deny it's existence Second comes realization of it's implementation, followed immediately by anger and hatred of it's design. Third comes pleaing for it to change back, hoping for some sort of compromise. Fourth comes depression, knowing it's sticking around for good. Finally comes acceptance, and/or suicide/rampage.
No website is safe, it's digital entropy, every website will inevitably become more and more shitty over time, eventually the entire net will be crippled by this and bitrot.

Same. Love everything else, including the understated GiantBomb logo, but the font makes my eyes hurt for some reason.
The new layout looks fine on my computer. Fits perfectly, and most of the complaints in this thread I'm not seeing. When I rest my mouse over "Forums" I just get the three columns. So no problems there. I'm assuming it all depends on what computer you're using. Even if it doesn't stick, it never hurts to try something new.

Thank god. For the most part I don't mind the redesign (though I wouldn't call it an improvement), but this new font is killing my eyes.

3 column view in the forums drop-down menu looks good.
Also, I can't decide whether or not I like all my user stuff floating freely like that. The black box of the old layout made things feel more organized.

People always tell me this, I think everyone else just needs to rile up.
I don't really like the font, but it would grow on me. Everything else looks great though, good job!
Edit: Except, scrolling. I can't scroll down at full speed anymore, sorry if you answered this before I only read the first and last page. When scrolling it becomes very choppy and takes much longer than the old site.
