Dan officially likes sour cream now. It won't matter because he'll likely die from ordering 1 of every regular menu item at Taco Bell.
Newsflash: Dan Likes Sour Cream
I tuned in, hoping for a replay, and he is still doing it.
He's not using the full scale. He doesn't belong at Giant Bomb.
Here's a link to the transcript I took down, with his ratings. Someone can sort the info properly.

Good on him. Sour cream is great. Go to a real taco truck, grab a quesadilla and dip it in sour cream.
Best part is where he eats about $90 of Taco Bell, looks exhausted, then heads to the fridge and takes out an entire bucket of Ben & Jerry's ice cream with the apparent intention of eating it, along with going back to some of his "favorites" he didn't finish eating as part of the test.
You have to admire Dan for not being completely obese. The amount of working out he has to do to burn all this shit off is not insubstantial. I ate some cake and what have you at a Birthday today and had to run for over an hour to burn an equivalent amount of calories off. Can't even imagine how much cardio you have to do to burn all this junk food off. Technically when I was in college I ate a ton of it and didn't really get fat but thats probably because I didn't eat a whole lot to begin with and worked two jobs.
@insidioustuna: I made a Google Spreadsheet that has it nice and sorted but I think I wasn't paying attention for a rating. I'll cross reference and it should be fixed!

He bought $91 worth of taco bell and is giving each item a score 1-100.
He will be missed
"Soft Taco" - isn't that just a wrap?
Not really. A soft taco is a taco with a soft tortilla. It isn't folded or closed; it's open faced. Wrap typically wrap the entire contents up.
Okay I understand the distinction (had to google a couple images to make sure I understood). Still I think saying "an open wrap" is more descriptive than "a soft taco" because the former implies the tortilla (rather than some sort of soft corn shell that the latter first brings up to me).
@dixavd: Soft tacos are the original tacos.
@humanity:He said he ran 8 miles earlier in the day. Credit where it's due, he's always said that he exercises a lot to get away with eating like an asshole.
@naed_: Thank you! I knew the community would perform its weird sabermetrics with data, like always. I just decided to keep a running tally. I'll get back to actual homework and let you guys take it from here! Have fun!
I've heard a lot of food blasphemy on this site.. but never in all my years..
Sweet potatoes at that!
"I'm going to take these leftovers in a bag downtown and give them to homeless people like Johnny Appleseed."
@bwheeeler: Don't restaurants always have the right to refuse outlandish orders? It's up to the people running the place at the specific time. Honestly, Dan probably got lucky.
@bwheeeler: If he called ahead, they wouldn't have made it, because they reasonably would have assumed it was a prank. The only reason they made it is because he kept insisting it wasn't a prank and he was willing to pay for it all immediately.
@insidioustuna: Haven't the homeless suffered enough?

Sweat potatoes taste like someone found some rotting potatoes, mashed them up, and mixed in some artificial sweetener to attempt to make them taste better.
Yeah but you have to be careful when you get items with sour cream in them at Taco Bell. Take the 5 layer burrito for instance. It is the best burrito but sometimes they fuck up the sour cream distribution and it all goes to one end. Then you will get a bite or two of nothing but sour cream and tortilla. That shit sucks.

Sometimes when I go to Chipotle they put in TOO MUCH SOUR CREAM and it's the worst
@flasaltine: You also have to be careful if you're going to have leftovers, reheating sour cream (and guac most times) rarely turns out well.

Someone who is more familiar with Mexican cuisine can correct me, but I think taco's are typically "soft". I think Taco Bell only makes the destination because their hard shelled taco's are more popular. I've always found it weird to call it a "soft taco" because to me, taco's are always soft.

I used to hate sweet potatoes, but then I had some amazing sweet potato fries and forgave them. I still won't eat any kind of mashed sweet potato, but I won't say no to some good sweet potato fries.
@rongalaxy: You don't eat condiments by itself. That would be like eating ketchup or mustard by itself.
@personandstuff: @ssully: Yeah looked it up and it seems the original was the soft one. I've never seen a soft taco, only ever hard tacos and burritos/wraps. Maybe it's because I'm in the UK and Mexican cuisine probably came over via the US and in the translation the hard taco could have become the norm.
Also around 19 minutes in is when Dan has his sour cream realization. It is hilarious.
It only cost him $90 too! What a deal!
