New/Updated Video Player?

Just resumed some Beast in the East action and noticed that we've got a new player?

Anyone else see this?

Yep, getting it too. I think Jeff mentioned this in the Jar Time or something before.

Awesome, slick and responsive UI. I like it a lot already.

Loving the new UI, great improvement.

New UI looks good, but pour one out for the old embiggen icon.

It's very nice, but isn't just an embedded Youtube video player?

I feel like with each iteration the player keeps getting worse. Last night during the Panzer Dragoon stream I kept getting hitches and hang ups and generally had to manually juggle between high/low/refresh. Twitch is similarly unwatchable for me so I hope that's not where this is headed.

I love GB but man sometimes I feel like this entire site is just a mess.

@humanity: Ever since they updated their bitrate a little while back it's basically impossible for me to watch anything here without constantly having to pause it and leave it for a couple minutes.

@frombrosis Nope, not an embedded YouTube player. It just happens to look more like that than before.

@humanity What's your internet download speed? As @nicolenomicon mentioned the bitrate for livestreams increased significantly a few weeks ago which is causing problems like you described for some people. Not really related to the video player itself.

Looks really slick. Hope they make more changes to how the website looks, some parts look really bad.

@expensiveham No plans to share yet but the site might look a lot different by the end of the year.

@chrisjames: It's 35mbps down and 5 mbps up which is fine for most things, although as I mentioned Twitch has always been terrible for me.

What??? No more good old Embiggen button? I loved that little dude.
