as opposed to one day at a time, why cant they release them on the weekend if they already have em done? Btw Endurance Runs are definetly one of the funniest things put out on the site
Now that we know Endurance Runs are filmed at long intervals...
*Sigh*

You didn't?
I would have to agree. It would get us to the end of the game, or the end of the endurance run, whichever comes first, that much faster. Plus, they're probably the best things to wake up to first thing in the morning on here.
"I think it sucks that if they get a game over its done."
What does that mean? I've never played the game, so excuse my ignorance on the matter, but are you saying that the game ends if you die?
"Peter said:I think he means that once they die they will end the Endurance Run. But they've already died and still continued, so that's definitely not the case."I think it sucks that if they get a game over its done."What does that mean? "*Sigh*No. That would be far too disjointed for a game like Persona. Plus, judging by the way they talk, it seems obvious that things are recorded in a block.

"it'd be nice if they cut out a lot of the grinding had just showed us the crazy bits and boss fights now."That'd be horrible. The Endurance Run is all about going through the game with Vinny and Jeff, and knowing they had played parts of it off cam would ruin the whole feel of it. I wouldn't want to miss any commentary either, and some of the best comments are made during the grinding parts of the game too.
"I haven't watched any of them. Don't really care about Persona."I don't really care about the game either, actually, just by seeing them play the game I can tell that I don't like the game. Still it's the "highlight" of my day, it's so fun to watch. Also, the game itself just makes it funnier.
I never played persona 3, I pretty much just watched my friend play it, and then we did a similar style of commentary as Vinny and Jeff which usually amounted to making fun of japanese culture. Now Vinny and Jeff can do that for me and I don't have to waste precious hours at my friends house.
Has anyone else come to the conclusion that the endurance run is much more entertaining when they aren't fighting? When the game takes control away from you and makes you hang out with your friends and foxes, thats where the stupid dialog comes in to play, and is where Vinny and Jeff have the most fun
Fighting just isn't fun to watch. That's the problem, and that's the reason why I was skeptical at first. Even though they have managed to keep battles entertaining (it helps that they still don't really know what they're doing) I've noticed that episodes that have a heavy focus on battles tend to get less interest in the comments.

"samcotts said:I think that was the case originally, but now that it has become one of the most (if not the most) popular thing on the site, and the most popular video series (acknowledged on Whiskey's main blog), I don't think that still stands."BiggerBomb said:While that is true their pretending it never happened sort of thing. I can't believe there was some people who had thought they actually sat down and played it everyday. Did people just think they never turned the game off or something when they didn't reach a save? But regardless, they don't post them on the weekends because they want to prolong it. And, believe it or not, not everyone visits the site everyday. So if someone miss a day or two, they have a few episodes to catch up on. The empty weekend gives people who were busy during the week time to catch up.
P.s. You can see too when a lot of the other videos on the site we filmed. For example, a few videos of Jeff may have him wearing the exact same clothes, yet the videos might be spread out over a week, or maybe even more. Point is, they don't decide to post all the videos they film in one day. They want to spread them out. Gotta keep that traffic consistent. After all, believe it or not, they are a business.

"The beauty of the endurance runs is the commentary from Vinny and Jeff coupled with some humour from the game itself."Quite true! I never thought watching someone play a game would be so damn funny! It makes watching people play games actually fun. By the way, ever notice ever since they met Funky Student they always made at least one reference to him in every Endurance Run they made?
"HazBazz said:Ya I'd have to agree. Although how much grinding have they done so far? Not a whole lot. And if Persona 4 is anything like Persona 3, then the amount of dialog/S-link stuff, will out-weigh amount of grinding."Has anyone else come to the conclusion that the endurance run is much more entertaining when they aren't fighting?
