NSFW - 3D Tifa, FF13, Cammy

 Hi everyone,

I have been making 3D fan models of video game characters for a few years now.   In the past, I have  made Tifa, Bayonetta, and Ayane, and I am going to re-do my Kasumi model from DOA later this year.

I am just about finished with models of Lightning and Vanille from FF13 (posted below) with some work still left to do on the faces and hairstyles.  I am currently working on Cammy. I will post progress renders of her in this thread, if you guys are interested. I work in Blender.

Nice. Bayonetta I'd definitely check out haha... and Cammy.

Some people consider my work NSFW, even when it is cropped (like in my first post).
Also, my renders of Cammy have been labeld NSFW because her costume is almost skin-tight, and you can see the shape of her body.
I won't post anything that is risque, though.

It is great that we live in a time when a determined person can make almost any visual imagery that they want for free, with programs like Blender and Gimp. Ten years ago, the technology to make this stuff cost an arm and a leg…

Whether people like it or not, I believe a lot more artists will be doing this kind of 3D in the future. It may take another 5 years, but...
 
Here is one of my older fan renders from Ninja Gaiden:

You are far better than I am at any of this, but I feel that you are making them a little too skinny.

That is some seriously great work. I can use AutoCad and have dabbled with various 3D software in the past.
I know learning to the tools is hard enough but to actually be productive with them is a feat.

I think it takes years to get a good handle on all the facets of 3D technology, and it can be a frustrating journey.

So I try to get the most out of its benefits, and retreat from its drawbacks (like how easily you can dump hours and hours into trial and error with cloth and hair simulations.)

Well I guess if you want to go viral there's no quicker way than soft porn for weabos.

You guys are a bunch of prudes. Do you know how many famous artists spent time painting/drawing/sculpting/photographing naked women? "Real" artists that go to art school spend a lot of time in class learning how to draw the human body by looking at *GASP* nude models.

The last thing these pictures evoke is a real world reference to anatomy, bro. You can like whatever weird fetishy shit you're into without trying to frame it as high art.

My problems with some of your models is that that they tend to all look the same. Its only their faces or "signature" armor or clothes that makes one able to tell one from the other. 
 
This may sound weird, but you should go look at more REAL naked women and see how different their body types are.

Your works might appeal to a larger audience if you had some whose breasts aren't ridiculously large. Variety is nice sometimes.

Yeah, I'm doing more with smaller breasts these days, like Cammy.

Anyway, Playing video games and watching porn are probably my 2 favorite things in life, so that is why I am going this route. Plus, the world is full of much more talented artists than myself, so I don't want to try to compete with them.

My work is not perfect, but I keep trying to improve at my own pace.

I really don't get why 3D porn modelers always do giant tits. I find them disgusting. Tighter bodies are nicer.

Seriously dude if you don't know the difference between a pinup and Michaelangelo's David that's fine. Its wrong, but its fine. Again, you can like pinups without making a fool of yourself by comparing them to classic works.
