On Legendary Difficulty, which game did you find the hardest? Feel free to post your favorite/most frustrating moments below.
For me Halo CE was the hardest. It could have been because that was my first FPS I ever played and by the time Halo 3 came around I had become extremely comfortable with the game and the mechanics. From what I remember about Halo 2, the first level was the hardest on Legendary. Halo 3 didn't give me much trouble because the game check pointed so often. Favorite moment? Halo 2, when the flood shows up and there are invisible Elites everywhere!
" @AlwaysAngry said:So Reach won't be a Halo game?" ODST... "No Spartan 117, No halo. "
ODST is not halo 1,2,3. It's similar enough to share the Halo name, but not similar enough to be in this discussion. Stealthing by half the NPC's is not really something I see a spartan doing. Not to mention I beat it in about 7 hours on Legendary, and it takes about an hour or two PER LEVEL on halo 1,2,3 to complete on Legendary. To each his own though. One Vote for ODST duly noted sir.
Halo 2 any time there were covie snipers - they could whip around, hit your big toe and you'd die. Walking through the streets of New Mombasa was horrifying.
I remember one time I was in a warthog, jumping through the air sideways towards a couple snipers - they shot me out of the air. Problem was, I hit a checkpoint mid-jump, meaning I would start, die before I hit the ground, repeat. Thankfully, the game was smart enough to eventually start me back at my previous checkpoint.
" Halo 2 any time there were covie snipers - they could whip around, hit your big toe and you'd die. Walking through the streets of New Mombasa was horrifying.Yeah, definitely! That level where you land with Sarge and have to work your way through the city. The snipers are absolutely ridiculous. Best strat? Jump on top of the level and RUN!!!
" Not counting ODST is bs. I found it to be the hardest. "I won't disagree with the difficulty of ODST. It is a hard game on legendary, but it doesn't really count as a Halo game. The mechanics and level setup are completely different. To me it's like trying to compare a superman and batman game that uses the same engine. You really can't put them in the same category because one guy plows through with laser eyes and another guy stealth's around and uses the shadows. Not to be a dick, but I have played ODST on Legendary several times, and I have a really hard time believing you have beaten Halo 1 on Legendary, it is BRUTAL compared to ODST.
Halo 3: ODST isn't that different from the other games, come on. To say a flippant comment like " It is a hard game on legendary, but it doesn't really count as a Halo game" sounds absolutely ridiculous to me. According to you " another guy stealth's around and uses the shadows" which is true during the hub levels but during the actual levels, it is as much as a Halo game as 1, 2 and 3 easily.
You are right I never finished Halo CE on legendary, never even tried. but your reason for not counting makes no sense. When COD 4 came out did you not consider that a Call of Duty game since you used different guns in a different story fighting different people?" @DarkShaper said:

I never actually played Halo 3, but Halo CE was definitely harder than Halo 2. The Library on Legendary, oh man.
No, but if Cod 4 came out and starred a 8 foot bio freak, in the most advanced piece of armor know to mankind, I probably wouldn't try to compare it to other games from the series starring special forces humans. Especially given the fact that it COMPLETELY changes how you attack and fight (or in ODST's case, play hide and go seek). Between Halo 1-3 the only change was the pistol zoom, the distance grenades went and Battle Rifle speed changed its rate of fire by .2 seconds. Basically Halo 1,2,3 are the same games with different graphics. ODST is an entirely different experience, when I honestly think the other three in the series offer pretty much identical experiences.
