Only One Person Left on Halo 2

After a month of playing the last of "The Noble 14" remain. After a month of play it was down to Agent Windex and Apache N4SIR. Agent Windex was "forcefully removed" and only apache remains. He is still deciding how to end the stream. I really respect this guy, I mean a month of constantly leaving your xbox on. He is definitely dedicated and will probably be remembered by the halo community for a long time. He still does not know how he will end the stream but has some ideas. This reminds me of that story about that one Japanese soldier who got stranded on some bullshit island and nobody ever told him that WW2 ended, so he survived on the island for like 30 years thinking the war was still going on

I left my Xbox on once with an old game running too.

I find this story to be very endearing. I hope he sends it off big. Shit, I don't even like Halo and I find this story cool.

Best part was, after locals realized who he was, they had to find the guy's old superior officer. Who long since retired, put him in his old uniform and had him tell the guy to leave his post. As the soldier didn't believe the locals when they told him the war was over. Damn, that needs to be a movie. "

1 man playing online does not constitute multiplayer. Hell, at that point it's hardly online. Halo 2 is dead, I'm calling it now.

It's always a bummer to see old games go. It's why I don't sell any of my games. Even though I know I won't play the majority of them ever again, there is something sort of comforting about having your collection there. 
 
Halo 2 will be missed, but on to bigger and better things. 
 
And a bit more on topic, I say let it die. At this point it seems like it would just be a chore.

very sad i think. halo 2 was a great multiplayer. sad that they had to end the xbox server. somehow they are online playing it.

You can still play it local ffs.

People saying thins like, "endearing" and "makes me want to cry". this is about what i think its about right? it's called LAN and it still works.

Well, even though from a certain "point of view" it can be cool. Seriously, people, this guys need their brains checked.

 I think Apache N4SIR is a pretty cool guy.

Got to admire the generally stupid tenacity that events like this encourage. But I'm glad its over. Now they can finally remove some of the limitations that the original Xbox had for online.
