It's kind of depressing watching your rank drop because your large entries are pending with 24 hours to 2 days on them and your oldest entries are being rejected because someone else had their submission approved first.
Well there is a huge number of submissions in the queue and i know atleast one of mine will be rejected because a brilliant submission for the same game got accepted after i had posted mine. Its just the way the system works, be patient and see what else you can provide and contribute for the community in the wiki section :)
My advice would be to save the entries you care about somewhere on your own PC for a few weeks until they can get this first massive burst under control. It sucks that it isn't quite working as intended just yet, but I don't think anyone on their end was expecting this much at once.
Yeah, I have a lot that took a while to write and it's still pending. Some of it is almost at two days now, but the site just launched and they did get flooded with entries.
Image queues and wiki queues are different, which is why some submissions are getting approved before others. They are trying hard to catch up with the submissions, but it is going to take some time.

I've started doing that. And one of the mods was nice enough to email me back a large submission I made that was beaten to the punch.
i know what you mean. You feel kind of helpless and you only wish for the best to happen. I kind of got screwed. I proposed black mesa as a concept but a day later i found it in location. Black mesa is a company not a location. Gordan Freeman works for black mesa. Its a concept not a location. Grrrr.
It is a company but it is also a location. Another example would be Burger King, Burger King is a company but it is also a tangible location where we could meet each other. "Hey want to meet up at BK?" "Sure" See? XD
I'm not sure. It's pretty deserty Some where in Nevada. Haha just joking. I dont know how you would decide. Maybe it could be in both categories. I see where your coming from, I just think there is a place for it in concepts.

That's actually a really cool and reassuring thing to hear. The amount of people trying to get stuff through really shows me how good of an idea this was, and what a great community it will blossom into. Just be patient guys. Make a folder on your desktop and just start filling it with awesome contributions. When the time comes to unleash it on them you'll get a lot more consideration than you probably would right now.

Exactly. However you wouldn't say the place where you meet your friends is a concept. Burger king isn't a concept, it's a company ant that is.
It's like calling a video game an idea. Indirectly it is, but it would be silly to call it that.

Filling in a big chunk of a description will give you 200+ points. It's not that hard. I just can't wait to get my 1,000 so I can do live edits and not worry about someones work being chosen over mine.
I'm not feeling like adding anything at all at this point, because there is a chance that someone else might have added the same thing and mine will be rejected..

I have all these articles that I've written just sitting here on my PC, but I'm not gonna bother submitting them until I get my 1000 points. It will just make things slower otherwise.
Yeah you have to accept things are going to be a bit crazy here at first, if someone did it first you could always edit the article and add your information along with it.

I'm just getting onto the wiki queue now, so I should deal with your submissions fairly soon. Remember all of us mods are volunteers who have work or are in full time education. While we try to keep the wiki queue under 24 hours, we sometimes get busy & the wiki queue can grow.
