All I currently own is a PS3. I was thinking of getting PS plus for access to the free monthly games. If I get the service will I be able to link the free monthy PS4 games to my account? Thus, when I pick up a PS4 have a virtual stack of games on my account. Or since I don't currently have a PS4 do I simply miss out on those games as free.

you can just add all of the free PS Plus games to your cart on the online store and purchase them for $0 and you will be able to access them in the future, even if you don't currently own the console.

@onyxghost: Any games that are free you can "purchase" to add to your account that goes for Vita, PS4 and PS3 then you can hit your download history later if you get a vita or Ps4 and get the games you have access to so really there isn't any reason you shouldn't click on every free game each month.

Yes... Just go to the store website and you will be able to add all the free games to your account regardless of platform (PS3, PS4, PS Vita.) I did this for any free games before I picked up my PS4 and I was able to download all of them when I got it.

You can also do it from your phone if that is easier.

I have not seen a way to do it from my PS3 though. All I end up seeing are the PS3 and Vita downloads.
