Anyone else notice and get frustrated with how poorly written most of the questions and posts are on this site, especially the questions Jeff answers on his Jar's videos. Do people not proofread? I know Giantbomb has world wide audiences and i understand the difficulty of learning English as a second language, so if that's it, then i withdraw my position. It seems more likely that people are just lazy and/or extremely lazy. Proofread your posts, you sound like a moron when jeff has to summarize your question because you left words out.
Proof read your questions
It's the same thing as with the PAX Q&A's really. People want to A) make an impression B) ask a really good question C) express their undying affection toward the guys all in one email about a specific question. That leads to many digressions and cringe worthy attempts at humour. They're trying to say everything want to say to them because this might be their only chance so it's kinda natural that these queries wind up the way they do.
That said, make 'em short and sweet. Like Dinklage.
@winternet: You might be right about that, would make sense.
What's the law about when you criticize someone for having typos or grammatical errors on the internet, you will invariable have one in that post?
@pop: I only notice that with the "watitng" threads. But, that's a thing.
That's only a thing because no one bothered to edit the post title. The mods are of no use, in that regard. We're on our own.
Edit: And before a mod sees this and takes offense, just know it was a joke.
@haltiamreptar: Minor ones are no problem, But if you watch Jeff's most recent Jars video, there is a question that is brutal and sounds like it was written on a phone while riding on a crowded bus that is driving down a mogul run on a ski hill.
@winternet: You might be write about that, would make sense.
The irony.
I imagine that those questions are written by 12 year olds that can't hold their excitement of interacting with Jeff and so they mess it all up.
It happens to the best of us.
I get like this and I'm 22. That's why I take forever to write to anyone I admire because I don't want them seeing me as a fool.
@spiceninja: Yep, i mistyped (not a word) that. but my issue is not with spelling mistakes. It's with sentences that are missing entire words.

Join me brother!
I don't proofread. I look for red squiggles and correct those. Sometimes I misspell a word but the red squiggle doesn't show up because it is actually another correctly spelled word.
I missspell most words and I put commas in weird places where they probably don't belong. I stopped caring about it a long time ago for some dumb reason so it doesn't really bother me.
Now ask me what I think about people creating a topic and never capitalize the "i" when they talk about themselves.
Did you ask?
Doesn't bother me either.
BttR daN diS taipE of Writng.

Is the title of this thread misspelled? I don't understand, does Proof read my questions? Who's he? And why does he read my questions? Gee, I wish people on the internet would be more clear.
I wish my life had a red squiggly line.
check between your legs, you might find your wish to be true!

Then he probably has ringworm.

Not to be a dick, but this is the pot calling the kettle black and therefore I must point stuff out:
You did not proofread your own post.
- First sentence is actually a question and missing a question mark.
- You are too lazy to capitalize "I" as you start calling people lazy.
- You should be capitalizing your pronouns.
It's really easy to skip words and sometimes reading it back they get missed. My mind goes a lot faster (thanks ADD!) than my fingers and half the time reading my post back, I still miss words because I already knew what I wrote and still sound the word out even though it isn't actually there.
Yes, some questions do not seem proof-read, but this thread will not change anything. Even if you shout directly at the people responsible, these people will not change.
I haven't put up a question for anyone yet, but I know how these people feel. I often proof read several times and still write stupid stuff. Give them a break, don't be a prat, and be humble; these people are like you and I: we are all fans of what Giant Bomb does here regardless of language barriers or proof-reading tendencies.
