Assuming this is true, it would be cool, if its not true, I hope whatever comes out looks as close to this as possible.

Here's the link if the hyper link didn't work.

Why do companies never comment on this stuff?

I would.

Looks extremely uncomfortable. All the buttons are smashed together on the bottom and you'd only have about half an inch between the two nubs. I think it's an interesting idea but if that's actually the idea I can't say I'm interested.

Also, that article claims this design is a remake of the PSP, not a PSP2. Though I'm guessing both claims are on the same level of bullshit.

First of all, that mockup is years old. Second of all, no details were "leaked". Most of the rumors floating around so far are fairly outrageous.

Even if this were to exist I doubt that Sony would be spending this type of cash to research and build a new PSP. This might be true but it won't come out until the financial situation of the PlayStation brand improves.

I like the idea of that mock-up, but Sony would definitely have to work on its ergonomics.

This is funny though: "However, our source claims that games which use the shoulder buttons exclusively - such as LocoRoco - will be playable, as these inputs will still be accessible."  But LocoRoco is on UMD.  "...will no longer carry a UMD drive..."

Yeah, the whole "no UMD" thing would piss off a lot of PSP owners, including me. Unless, of course, they institute a system where you can enter your UPC code and download a digital copy of your UMD games, or even software that allows you to rip them.

But it isn't like your psp will just stop working immediately after psp2 comes out; you're still going to be able to access those games. If they can cut down on size by taking out the UMD slot, I'm all for it.

As long as the next one has dual analog sticks.
