Wondering what you guys (Bombers? Bombie's?) think about Split Screen. Personally I love it and the most fun Ive had playing games is with a friend sitting next to me (and also LAN party's) but since online multiplayer is absolutely massive do you think its on its way out? Or maybe only the Wii will have it? I hope it stays, forever and always!
Question: Split Screen Yay or Nay?
I totally think games that have any multiplayer components should support split screen. For me halo3 does it best. Having friends over and going on live while playing in the same game can be a total blast. Sure, you can play with your friends over the internet, but voice chat just isn't as good as having your friends in the room playing with you.
I was pretty turned off when I found out cod4 was lacking the xbox live split screen feature.
I like Co-op split screen because I like to have my co-op partner beside me. For versus games I prefer playing online with a full screen.
Yea. Split screen is really good for me 'cause most of my friends either don't buy the same games as me, or are too lazy/busy to play the game online (which makes me wonder why they even have Xbox Live). Split screen with guests online is also very cool. LAN support is also good.
Also, I'm one of those guys who looks at the other person's screen while playing. ^-^; Hey! I find it a legitimate strategy when the other guy can do it, too. :P
I really like split screen. I never really play with friends online, it just doesn't seem as fun. I'd rather have them sitting in the same room.
Too bad it's slowly disappearing...
I enjoy playing a coop campaign on split screen with some of my chums but I can't really play something competitive on it. I have ADD and find it hard to concentrate with too much happening on the screen. But overall I would rather the option to use it be there than not.
I used to like it when I was younger but now I find it annoying to play like that...although I do have some great memories of Halo CE and Goldeneye :)
"Hell yay. That is something that this gen is really missing. There are hardly any games out that support some old school multiplayer options.Nothing man. Enjoying the site so far. It's a pretty cool place. Glad that I signed up.
And what's up Aljosa, good to see someone from OTB coming over here."
I enjoy a split screen now and then, the problem is when you have a small T.V, besides I only use it when my friends come over and sometimes for co-op.
Yay to split-screen!
I personally find that multiplayer games arre often the most fun when the person your player is sitting on the same couch as you. It kinda sucks how it's appearing less and less frequently (hard to play games with my brothers now....). Although, if there is one plus to not having split-screen, it's that people won't be able to look a few inches to the left/right in order to see where you are, what your health is, and what weapon you have (for example).
i love when i have a friend and we can go online together. also it makes co-op more fun when you have two people in the same room
Yay, if it is even supported. Now less and less next-gen games are supporting it, because its too hard to implement.
HECK YAY! Splitscreen is dying and that breaks my heart, but what can you do? More games need splitscreen. Someone made a point on some website (dont remember, sorry) that not only does it allow him to play with friends, but it also allows his friends to see and experience new games. In that way, friends can be persuaded to purchase games that they normally would seem unappealing.
I love playing Splitscreen.
I've been playing CoD4 splitscreen with friends and brothers and it is really fun. Sure you have complaints about looking at their screen but that is part of the fun. It is funner to get kicked for looking at the other screen then to get called a bitch (or worse) online for doing absolutely nothing.
