ij si i got the idea of this post after listenin to n-gai crole ok so to get this straight i am in no way a racist. im not a supremiscist or anything like that. ok so there is this big controversy over re5 because the zombies are black. ok so let me get this straight. it is offensive because africans are usualy black. and the game is set in africa. that is not racist. thats just good setting. last time i checked you didnt hear white people complaining that the zombies are white or latin. any1 agree.
racism in video games.
"Anyone logical can agree that the idea of RE5 being racist is ludicrous. What's worse is that they have actually seemed to address this...The latest trailers had a cultural melting pot in the heart of Africa. I hate being a pretentious videogame nerd but If videogames are ever going to be respected as a medium they can't be afraid to push the envelope a little.

N-Gai needs to realize that there's no reason to think the game is racist. The game's context makes sense, it's not out to deliver subliminal messages.
fuck i didnt want this fucking thread to turn into a lets hat on african-americans. FUCK ALL YOU RACISTS

Sleepy_Insomniac said:Well, not exactly what I was going for..."N-Gai needs to realize that there's no reason to think the game is racist. "SHUT THE F^%# UP.Now why do we have to say that? Seriously?

Anyways, my thoughts on this subject is as follows; the activists need to stop crying. I am pretty sure that Spain is being a lot more mature than all of the African Americans for the most part who are going ape over the fact that their home country is not made up of 50 percent white people. Seriously, when I was killing Salazar or whatever his name was in RE4 I did not think to myself... "hmmmmm, what a great Spanish-Zombie killer". Actually race didn't even cross my mind once in the game.
What I find interesting are the stereotypes that video game developers have seemed to invent themselves. It seems that in every shooter I play there is always a black guy who is either the sergent or the SAW machine gunner. I don't necessarily find it that offensive, it just seems like many shooters want to fit a black dude into their cast of characters, and many times they place him either as an irritable sergent, or a muscular machine gunner. Again, not offended, I just think its interesting.
