Retro Video Game Music Quiz

I'm not much of a retro gamer at all. I was born in '94 and spent a lot of my early gaming on a PC and didn't actually own a console until early 2000, when I bought a PlayStation from a friend. However, I know a number of GB's members are and so I thought I'd share this:

Not sure how hard it is due to my lack of retro video game knowledge but enjoy nonetheless!

Neat idea. I know a lot of game music, but I was still useless on the 3rd set!

Is it bad that I had to "View Page Source" to get past page 1? :(

I got about half from the first page, three from the second, and one from the third page.

Not a ton of ovelap with the games I played growing up.

Someone put me out of my misery. I know #5 from set 3 somewhere, but I cannot place it.

Man, I'm probably going to know an ego-deflatingly small number of these.

EDIT: Wait, 7 sounds like it's from Torchlight. That's not a retro game...

EDIT 2: 9 is E1M1. What poor, deprived fellow does not know E1M1 by heart?

EDIT 3: All right, what's number 5 on the 3rd level? I know that from somewhere but I can't place it and it's bothering the hell out of me.

What's #2 on page 2? It's the one song I recognize and can't place

Diablo 2. Same composer that made the music for the Torchlight games.

That was really fun.

I got no clue for 2, 5, 13 and 14.

Got all the others.

Edit: Ok i checked the answers by viewing the page source and i feel pretty good about not knowing the 4 i mentioned since i never played any of them.

There's 3 pages... i thought i was done after the first one. Back at it!

You bought a console from your friend when you were 6?

Page 2 wasn't too bad but page 3 stomped me. I did get all the ones i played so it's not bad.

I'm stumped on 5, 6, 7 and 14.. a couple of them sound reaaaaally familiar though.

Kids nowadays, huh.

The first couple of pages were ok. A bunch that I recognize, but can't quite match to a game. The third page I got Tomb Raider, Afterburner and a couple of others... Not a clue on most of those ones.

Number 2 on the first page is driving me completely insane because I knew the tune within the first few seconds but can't remember the damn game!

EDIT: Seriously, Halo was in the medium category?

am i crazy to think that diablo 2 tune on the first page is BS? i understand there might be a distinction between the themes from 1 to 2, but based on the clip they provide, i can't hear it!
