What's is the saddest and most emotional video game song you've ever heard? Another question- has a video game ever made you cry?
Some sad songs I can remember are To Zanarkand and Red Moon from Disgaea.
I have never cried in a game, or in any movie for that matter. But I did get some for of chill down my spine in some moments. The ones I can remember now are Shadow Hears: Covenant and Xenosaga Episode III edings.
OfficialJab said:That was sad.... but well, not enough. I actually cry at the end of Advent Children though, when Cloud smiles. That's way too much."Final Fantasy 8 is pretty heartrending.... I cried a few times."whoa FF8, if that got you crying what the fuck did you do in ff7 when aeris died.
"Final Fantasy 8 is pretty heartrending.... I cried a few times."FF8 had its moments, the theme songs eyes on me by faye wong always gets me in that bluesy mood, especially the piano version
The music that played at every safe-haven area in Resident Evil 4 was incredibly sad. It stood for something spectacular; it was that feeling that you just got out of harms way, but are so far from the end of the ordeal, and are so alone. It never made me cry. I cried at Symphony of the Night once when I was 8 because Galamoth beat me 6 times in a row, though. That wasn't out of sadness, but frustration. Here's the RE4 song I was talking about. It's called "Serenity", I guess.
"I've cried watching Futurama and Scrubs (god I'm sad), but I've yet to cry during a video game, so I guess no music has really had an effect on me. I though the music in Final Fantasy X was superb though, and quite emotional at times."It's okay, everyone cries during the odd Futurama in the later seasons.
" adam_grif said:yeah... yeah that was kind of sad..."No, a videogame has never made me cry, or even come close.Wow, that made me kinda sad... "
HOWEVER, this did, although it's only kind of a video-game:
So my answer to both kind of goes together. I don't know if it would be considered the saddest bit of music I've ever heard, but mixed with the story and the moment it just kills me. The game is Chrono Cross and the song is called "Star Stealing Girl". At this moment in the game you have managed to go back in time to help your female companion "Kid" deal with a bad event that happened in her past. After rescuing her from a burning orphanage she recounts that she has now lost her home, the only person who ever cared about her (Lucca from Chrono Trigger), and begs you not to abandon her. Of course at this moment the force that allowed you to go back weakens and you disappear leaving the little girl alone on the hill overlooking her destroyed home.
Cried while playing 3 games,
the ending of FFX http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPMFXfNk1IM fuck i just watched it at started crying :( I still think FF X is the best FF game, at least the japanese version(f*ck you english voice of Tidus) FF XIII isn't bad but FF X is better according to me, still only 10 hurs into FF XIII.
