Same Species Alliance?

So does anyone else try to get a unspoken truce going with your fellow species online? 
When I play Marine and I see another Marine, I'll usually flash my light a couple times and wait a bit to see if he got the message. So far it's worked out pretty well. I'm sure it's more hit/miss with the Aliens/Predators but I've seen a buncha aliens moving in a unit and that shit will mess you up.
