Searching for an old game

I've tried to google it from every angle that I can think off but still cannot find a hint on it. Getting a headache. haha.

Can you guys/girls help?

I will try my best to describe.

I can't really remember the platform, seems is Sega Seturn or PS1.

It is a Japanese Tactical game(Also in modern japanese theme) where the characters are school girls, then suddenly monsters appear in the small town, they come out to fight.

We can change the girls skin(look) as well. I remembered that initially we can only choose whether are they carry a book.

oh ya, forgot to add, the game i think is from the 90s

Maybe Nage Libre Rasen No Soukoku?

Found it with some quick creative googling and it looks like what you describe. PS1, 5 school girls, customization, book accessory, fights happens in separate screen. Doesn't seem to have a GB page as far as I can see (Nage Libre, the first game in the series on SNES has a page).

@superjoe: Nope, it is like super robot taisen, where you move your characters in squares and when attack, it will take you to another screen to show the animation.
