In this week's Bombcast the crew speculate what the big Sega news could be and it turns out it's streaming arcade games - https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2020/06/how-sega-hopes-to-use-japanese-arcades-as-streaming-data-centers/

*edit to provide a tl:dr* As I understand it, Sega intends to use the GPU/CPUs in arcade machines when the arcades are closed to stream arcade games in a Stadia-like fashion without the need of massive server farms. Seems likely to be Japan only where Sega owns arcades, since the infrastructure isn't there elsewhere.

Love it. It's a crazy idea, but I think it's going to be neat to see what they can do with it.

Sounds like a really great idea if it actually picks up steam. Unclear currently if its meant to stream arcade games or be repurposed to stream 'normal' games but either way sounds brilliant.
