What's mortal combat?

I was going to say how weird it is that you spelled Mortal Kombat wrong, but then this topic had no discussion starter and was only one sentence and I figured out why.

yeah, i think it would be cool to see that. they would have to make street fighters have finishing moves or make the people at mortal kombat not having them. it would be cool.

MK (K, dammit! K!) vs. DCU really grew on me, so I think it could work in that style. I mean, it's gotta happen someday anyway.

Sure why not, but I don't see the Street Fighter characters having any finishing moves. If they did this the MK characters wouldn't have them.

I want to see Ryu cut in half.

Uh, no.

Nah, that would just tarnish the Street Fighter name. SF is leagues above and beyond the quality of a Mortal Kombat game, which has an insanely shallow fighting system.

Nope, we've been lucky that Tekken is the only real crossover. Due to the amount of gore & blood in the MK games I highly doubt it, Street Fighter mixed with something more similar like Soul Calibur or Dead or Alive maybe could work.

I dunno, it seems a little presumptuous for me to speak for ALL of the Video Gamesmen. I have been called "the voice of a generation" and all, but those who have called me that are less Video Gamesmen and more "me with a wig".

No, because it would be retarded. Street Fighter's rivals are KOF and Tekken. MK hasn't had a direct rival since the Killer Instinct series phased out of existence.

No. Johnny Cage is not afraid to die, and Sub-zero is a Chinese Ninja Warrior, with a heart so cold. So you can see how there'd be a conflict of interest there.

MK vs Pokemon in a SMB style game.

I would play it, but I don't think it's a good idea. I think the only way for fighting games to survive again is for someone to make a serious new franchise in the field. Just re-releasing MK9 and SF4 over and over again isn't gonna cut it.
