So a few nights ago I finally watched The Amazing Spider-Man on dvd. I really liked it, which for me can just mean it may have not been the greatest movie I have ever seen, but I didn't feel like I needed to complain afterward and was simply satisfied.

One little, tiny thing bothered me the whole time that I was watching, and it was scene of Uncle Ben's death. Now I knew it was coming and had to happen, I'm not an idiot, and it was very clear when the plot was leading up to it. Everything seemed plausible and interestingly set-up, until the actual moment where Ben confronts the thief and gets shot.

Here's the clip for anyone interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7CtZkBde5E

I was able to forget about how stupid I thought Ben's actions were to enjoy the rest of the movie, but every time he was mentioned I was frustrated at how stupid the reasons for his death were. He had nothing in his hands, and there is a man in front of him with a gun, you would think any normal person would just back up slowly and say "hey man, not looking to get shot here." His death seemed unnecessary for the rest of the movie for me, and it was all caused by some bad actor blocking in one scene.

Other examples:

-In Buried with Ryan Reynolds, after he cussed out his wife's friend and hung up on her, I couldn't find myself caring about him very much because I feel like I would try to calmly talk things out as efficiently as possible (who knows what I would actually do finding myself buried alive, but I still couldn't empathize with that character after that).

-At some point my family rented the terrible Drillbit Taylor, and after the bully/villain tried to run the nerdy main characters over WITH HIS CAR, and then ran over their bikes with it if I remember correctly, no one seemed to say anything. No police calling, no telling parents, they just went on like it was a regular day. Even I thought they were a bunch of wimps after that.

-Anytime the protagonist doesn't say the one single sentence to another character that would have prevented everything because he/she's all flustered, and that's what leads to the main conflict of the movie.

-Anything Andrea has done this season of the Walking Dead.

I know I'm nitpicking, but sometimes its just my natural reaction to things that break my suspension of disbelief. Are there any non-important moments in movies or games that for some reason bothered you all the way through the rest of the story?
