Yep you heard me right. He got it right in the face. I spent 2 hours in the bathtub with him with tomato sauce shampoo and about 10 towels and he still smells horrid! Not really looking for advice, I've resigned myself to wait it out. He seems like he hasn't sustained any long term injuries from it so I guess my house will just smell like skunk for the next two weeks or so! I should never have moved. :(
So guys, a skunk got my dog last night

If not, you can figure what I was going to say next.
" How's your dog feel? Isn't their sense of smell meant to be several times stronger than humans'? "he feels pretty tired but other than that I'm surprised he's not feeling worse
" How's your dog feel? Isn't their sense of smell meant to be several times stronger than humans'? "How would you know how your dog feels? Take it to a dog shrink?
" All hope is lost. I think you better put your dog down and bury him in the garden. "this

Happened to my dog years ago, and what does he do? The little shit runs in the house yelping, runs straight to my room before we really have processed what's going on, jumps on my bed, and rolls all over it to try and get the smell off. ARGGG the smell lingered in my room for months.
Skunks are super prevalent in my area and as far as I know, waiting it out is about all you can do. Sucks for you and your dog, man! Hope it goes away soon!
