I personally am avoiding the mess, and trying not to fall into a overdraft frenzy. Although I am tempted to pick up Rayman Origins for $40.
Is there anything you've bought and/or plan to buy today?
So what have you bought on this Black Friday?
Kinda crazy seeing Amazon's Lightning deals sell out within 60 seconds of them going live.
And I should've put this in my first post, but on Wednesday I bought the NSMB Wii Bundle and Skyward Sword at Target for $150.
Nothing yet.
I plan on going to best buy tomorrow afternoon after all the crazy people are gone though. I did the same last year and found some good games at half price.
Well in 25 minutes it will be 10pm and i am going to a walmart to buy yakuza 4 for 10$.. other then that, I am Praying saints 3 goes on sale for steam for at least 5$ so I can buy it otherwise I am waiting till the Xmas sales for games.. Other then that I dont have enough to buy much of anything else for another week or so :(
I'm working.
But nothing. I'm not planning on buying anything, unless Newegg and Steam do something insane for Cyber Monday or tomorrow.
Thinking about buying basically what Jeff's new PC build he did with Tested is, but with an SSD instead of HDD, since I already have a 1TB HDD from before the prices went crazy. Need to see if I can talk mom into helping me out some right now, she's already said we need a new computer other than just my laptop.
Was looking at Cyberpower because of their deals for Black Friday, but looking at Amazon (no tax + Prime ftw) and Newegg, I could pretty much build it myself and still save money outside of the fact that Cyberpower would give me a copy of Just Cause 2 for free.
Also thinking I might grab a pair of HD 201/202 headphones since they're only $20 on Amazon.
Family as a whole might be looking to get a new TV, not sure, as we don't really watch a whole ton of TV, and my mom is fine with our ~8year old SD CRT TV
Fuck Walmart's online deals, been refreshing a page 40 minutes. Was supposed to go live at 12:01 am.
Black Friday...so the armies of Satan Claus gather yet again to try to revive their dark master. It shall not work, knaves! Your efforts are in vain! (Oh, and I haven't bought anything, because it's night. On the Moon.)

Basically this... except for the whole living on the moon thing.
Man! I thought Origins was supposed to be $30 at Gamestop, but that's for the Wii version. I still feel like $40 is too much.
Anyway, so far, I bought Rocky Balboa and Casino Royale DVDs for $1 each, and Metroid: Other M for $5 from Best Buy.
@Dalai:
Sorry, but not even llamas are allowed up here. Can't afford to have your llama diseases screwing up the ecosphere or whatever.
Eh, I ended up buying Best Buy's Skylanders Mega Pack for my brother's Bday present because 1. We used to play Gauntlet all the time. 2. It's a pretty good deal for what you get. and 3. I'm a complete dick.

If it's any consolation, I am disease-free.
Still not going to the moon anytime soon, though. We're not exactly bred for space exploration.
@Dalai:
But aren't llamas related to horses?
I ordered a record that was a few bucks cheaper than it normally is.
Also, Super Meat Boy on XBLA. I knew it was a good idea to wait for a sale.
I went to Wal-Mart and picked up Heavy Rain for $15 and Yakuza 4 for $10. Also picked up Big Bang Theory Seasons 3 and 4 and Fringe Season 2 for $10 each.
I treat Black Friday as more of a "Buy gifts for me" rather than "Buy gifts for others". It's too crazy to try to buy gift for others tonight.
like most people here dark souls for 35$ also got the excellent x-men first class for 10 dollars and captain america for 12
still hoping for a saints row or skyrim sale
My $35 dollar premium membership. Fallout NV for PC for $5 ....maybe some more Steam stuff.I am super tempted right now to pick up New Vegas for five bucks and finally play through it, but then again Skyrim has me by the balls and I don't think I could handle more open world RPG after that. I figure I'll just wait until it's on sale for the zillionth time at some other point in the future.
Aside from whatever I pick up from the Steam sale, I feel no need to go out to an actual store, and I don't have that much money to spend on cool things.
@LordXavierBritish: Damn, where was Saint's Row $20 at? That's a pretty good grab.Sometimes the best deals are right in front of your nose.
Other times the best deals are from CD key reselling sites run by the Russian mob.
Mass Effect 1 on Steam for 10 bucks. Metroid 2 on 3DS. Will be buying Rayman Origins next week instead probably.
MvC 2 is reduced from 1200MP to 320MP today only on XBLA so I'll probably download that when I get in.
So far I've only got Orcs Must Die and VVVVVV on steam. The amazon UK lightening deals this week are terrible, I haven't seen one decent video game related one :(
Also most of the other UK sites don't do Black Friday deals.. damn them.

Batman for $29 is the only worth while deal here in Canada.
Where is Batman on sale for 29$, I've only seen it on sale for 39$?
I choose to avoid this kind of animalistic sale nowadays after learning how much people ditch dignity and respect to cash in on a "great" deal that has cost human lives. Yeah, I know it hasn't been common but the looks of eagerness in peoples eyes and sheer lack of decency they displayed when I worked retail makes me want to avoid that at all costs. I am aware that not all people are that way, but enoug hare.

That's why you stick to the online sales + Cyber Monday.
I camped out and got that $200 42 inch TV for my inlaws. While I was at bestbuy I picked up a PS3 bundle for my wife and Move bundle for my self. Also got one of them $40 blu ray players for my wifes family. Just hoping for some quality cyber Monday video game deals.
I, like a few others in this topic, have been hunting for Saint's Row The Third on the cheap, but all I can find is it for like $55 at Target... I thought I read that it was a lightning deal on Amazon on Wednesday, but I was busy traveling... Fuck. I was tempted to pick up Dark Souls for $35, Splatterhouse for $13, and Duke Nukem Forever for $10, but I don't hate myself that much.
