Somone talk me out of buying a japanese 360

Yeah so ever since I got Catherine on Tuesday, I've been reminded of the fact that I have the Japanese 360 Version and means of playing it and it's making me a want to buy a Japanese 360. I don't know if I should do this...

If you have the money to spare and intend to buy more japanese only Xbox 360 titles.  I say go for it.  But if you only intend to buy a games console for just one game or if you are not in a position to make frivilous purchases I would advise against buying a japanese xbox 360.

I'm all for gaming nonstop, but buying an xbox just for 1 game is absurd.
 
Just buy me a new pc instead, much more productive.

1 game seems like a pretty dumb reason to buy a new system. But if you really want to go for it. I don't care.

the hell is the point of buying a console to play one game that is in a language that you can't understand (unless you know Japanese) even though you own the version that's in a language that you can understand? 
 
unless you're planning to play all sorts of Japanese games, then i don't see why not. 

@AjayRaz: I know Japanese. I would buy more Japanese 360 games, like Steins;gate and... uh the sequel to Steins;gate.

Your PS3 (if you own one) is region free, which makes buying a region locked Japanese 360 a rather pointless investment.

I would understand if you already owned a japanese 360, but how does the japanese game come first?

A number of the Xbox 360 games are region-free.  If you are into Cave shooters, they tend to be region-free.  As for Steins;gate, I believe that it got a PSP release recently.  Since the PSP is region-free, you are better off putting your money toward one of them over a Japanese Xbox 360.

Seeing as though you have the PS3 version as well, I would say for you to just cover your Japanese Catherine in plastic and place it in a safe-deposit box. Just play the PS3 version damnit, you already have it.

The only reasonable explanation for getting a Jap 360 would be for the amazing and stupidly exclusive shmup library. Other than that, why bother?
