If you don't absolutely love mindless shooting prepare to be bored. Its the same thing over and over for hours. But I loved it, except for the flashlight switching. Is there a gun with a flashlight on it? Or am I thinking of Quake 4?

No, none of the guns have any sort of light on them...I hear there is a mod though called the "Ducktape mod" or something
yeah there is a mod that can help you out with the flash light stuff.... Doom 3 is awsome! and made me jump a couple times actually! the guns are superb! and i just thought it was a good all round game.... i actually thought the story was good personally and it all had a releastic feel to it all.....
lol Yea i know it wasnt a very good Doom game, but i still enjoyed it tho i have to agree with the TC -_- the whole flashlight/gun thing pissed me off as well.
