METROID SO GAWTLIKE OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Looking forward to the Mario block.
o_____o
Uh, just to put that in perspective, Zoast just came within 30 seconds of his personal best time, which is the current world record, for the 100% route. Time during this marathon run: 1:19:55. Current world record: 1:19:23.
Siglemic will be playing Mario 64 next. The schedule says it will be a short race with Sicko, then a full 70 star run.
I don't remember who but one guy definitely mentioned him. A donation came in mentioning ryan and he got pretty sad saying he loves giantbomb and remembered the hotline Miami quicklook. I think it was the hotline Miami run?
Also GG ryandavis is the dark souls filename
If you've ever watched siglemics stream, he does this ALL DAY. It's crazy. When he loses 10-15 seconds even an hour in to a 120 star run, he just hits the reset button. I guess that's what it takes to be number 1
@maginnovision: Wow! That's crazy, though I'm not too surprised based on his quiet focus during this stream. Like you said, that kind of dedication pays off when it comes to this stuff. And it makes for some incredibly entertaining content.

Siglemic is one of a few runners I find legitimately creepy. He really seems to have no life whatsoever.
Super Metroid tech is so goddamn different from when I used to run. A lot of the same tricks still apply, but the routes are almost foreign to me now and the bar for execution is just insanity. Kinda wanna try some of the new routes to see what I can get, but it'll definitely take some practice to nail one since I haven't taken a serious stab at speed running it in a few years. I only play casually now.
I really enjoyed Super Mario World. Go1den was amazing. Even without a near WR, it was still so stuffed with swagger that I loved it. Highly recommend checking it out.
Why didn't I know about this five days ago?! Oh well, just more of their stuff for me to have to go back and catch up on.

Just gonna post again if it got lost in this thread for anybody who missed it, I was really glad I had one for AGDQ.

Gonna be GOD DAMN hard to top snapping choir behind Toufool. God these guys have so much fun.
I tuned back in right in the middle of that, didn't know what was happening haha.
@tournamentofhate: During every packless stage, they'd snap and doo-wop the theme. The last round they danced.
I noticed a bunch of donations for Ryan during the few moments when I watched the stream, and I didn't see all that much. A couple of hours. Good to see people donating!
@immortalsaiyan: I only kind of half saw that, how did he finish it so fast?
@happenstance: You can just go back home and sleep the in-game time away.
I'm usually not big on Super Mario Sunshine, but that run plus all of the styling in the audience and gameplay, I really enjoyed it. Good show.
Unfortunately, I won't be awake for the Dark Souls stream; I'll have to catch it later. But I'm glad Ryan could get honored with the name. Maybe it can turn out well and be a submittable run. ;)
@gunslingerpanda: Wow, really? Where'd you hear that?
Edit: Actually, I just caught it in the archive...that's....I don't know what I think about this...
@pollysmps: What run did it happen in?
@handsomemuffin: Siglemic's run. It happens right before it. You can see him being escorted off camera, the announcer calls for a commercial, but the archive doesn't cut to commercial. During that time you can hear him protesting being told to leave the room. Some folks are saying Siglemic threatened to not run if Blueglass was in the room.
I'm guessing however that there may be more to this than we know. There's a lot about BlueGlass nobody knows, possibly even the other runners. There's certainly a lot one can infer from his behaviour and general interactions with others, but until any of that info is know, and I doubt it ever will be unless someone says something definitive, then all folks can do is assume.
@pollysmps: Here's where I heard about it:

Obviously, this is second hand information. It's looking legit though, given there was a post about it before it's happened. If true, fuck Siglemic. If not, whatever.
