Did anyone else see this off Kotaku?
http://kotaku.com/5374259/ready-to-rat-out-r4-sellers-nintendo-is-here-to-help

Basically, Nintendo is giving people a way to anonymously rat on retailers that sell the R4 as well as websites that host DS games for download. What do you guys think, is this a god idea? Personally, the sites that I know of that sell R4s and R4-like carts are also the same sites many people go to for modding and other homebrew (and legal) stuff. I imagine they'd be loathe to report such a site. Is this the only way Nintendo can think of stopping this problem?

It's a pretty lame way of stopping pirates, but I guess it's a good start.

Is it that hard to find those kinds of websites?  Nintendo could just google it.

I have a device similar to that but I don't use it to play games illegally. Doesn't seem right to me.

Well excuuuuuse me, Princess, but Nintendo doesn't have ninjas at their disposal 24/7 :P. They tend to disappear at night; not good for piracy prevention.

@Smarter_Martyr: LMAO, I was thinking the exact same thing. THANKS FOR NOT SNITCHIN'!!! But again, I think this might actually prove a pretty successful way to stop piracy. There are a still a lot of people who don't believe in R4 gaming carts and will gladly rat out a site they know that sells them or posts game downloads. From what I can tell, most of those types of sites are small ones who would crumble pretty easily under the pressure of Nintendo's lawyers. But would I be a snitch? That's the real question. You all know the rule:

Snitches Die Quick. Yup.

Microsoft has robots and Sony has their cyborgs.  Nintendo should be up on the current times.

They haven't accepted HD gaming; what makes you think they'll accept the concept of anti-pirate automatons? They have yet to realize the potential of APAs.
