@permissibleporp: Perhaps your brain is mixing Kings quest 1 and 3 together? 3 have you escaping a wizards house, 1 has the rumplestiltskin riddle. PC's also had different graphic modes back then (CGA, VGA, EGA etc) so it might have looked different on your computer back then compared to Youtube gameplay.

Platform: Windows/PC

Genre: shootemup, japanese, fighting boss robot ships ONLY, wireframe graphics

Estimated year of release: around 2000

Graphics/art style: wireframe vector-style graphics, with articulated boss robots to battle, and you could sever their joints to disable different parts. Infinite ammo, auto fire, I believe, focus was on the *spread* of your shots, and what part you targeted.

Notable characters: none at all, just bosses, one after the other. Believe they learned how you were shooting, and then armoured up accordingly?

Notable gameplay mechanics: sideways shooting, static screens, you either beat the boss or you didn't...

Other details: game was pretty hardcore (or I was rubbish...) just a badass shmup... Key point was the wireframe graphics and the multiple weapon points on the boss that would track you unless you could cut them off first.

Warning Forever.

Hello, I don't know if it's gonna be a hard one or not.

I'm not sure if it's a full game or just a demo but all i can remember is:

You drive a tank that can switch to plane mode. You have to rescue people in blue before a huge spaceship kill everyone and send you flying enemies. (Don't remember if it was organic or mechanical enemies). You have 1 weapon that shoot blue triangle. It was a FPS game in 3D. I remember playing it on PC early 2000's. It took place in a huge desert. I think that's all i can remember.

This game lives as a small blurb in my mind, but I KNOW it existed. It was a top-down strategy game for maybe the PC in either the mid-late 90s or the early 2000s. You control various anthropomorphic ants. I don't remember the goal of the game, but I vividly remember a big key was finding this pair of silly glasses (with the nose and all) that granted your ants various powerups through its nose drippings. The two powerups I remember turned your ants into (1) these musclehead ants, and (2) these jittery TNT specialist ants who seem all too eager to blow something up. I've been trying to figure out what this game was for YEARS, so I would GREATLY appreciate helping unlock this childhood memory! Thank you!

I'll be very impressed if anyone gets this one on minimal info and guesswork:

I'm fairly confident it's a DOS/PC game from anywhere between 1991 to 2000, weighted towards the early nineties, likely not 98-2000.

It's a top-down 2d adventure/action game with some form of open world; I think you play as some sort of muscular man, beast-man or orc? Lots of beef in the game either way. I feel like the game had a name that was a single word, but despite thinking it's called "Blood", I can't find a game fitting these parameters from that era.

I remember it having both basic dialogue and some fighting, and the atmosphere was wasteland-y and had some exploration. I remember a lot of brown. I didn't play the old Zelda games back then but in hindsight it has some similarities.

Is this a fake memory I've given myself? It's been stuck in my brain for years.

OK, the game I can't remember mustve been mid/late-eighties on the amstrad64 (so i presume it would likely have been on the commodore64 etc).

anyway it was a traditional car racing game at first but eventually the car seemed to pull over and stop and you entered a new part of the game which was a platform game.

Maybe that description of not specific enough but its all Ive got! Oh, except during the car race/chase part of the game you could fire some type of weapon , straight ahead to attempt to hit other cars

What's the game with the little red ball that you had to shoot through cannons to get to a ring? I remember playing this game on my tablet I think a year ago and it was really frustrating. The ball had a helmet and there was stuff to collect, if you collected all the stuff then the ring was gold, and if you didn't, I think the ring was silver. I still have my tablet but I can't use it since it doesn't charge properly. (just like my PHONE which I'm using RIGHT NOW) I would really appreciate if you gave me the name for it :3 ok bye!

I played this game about 10-15 years ago. Looking for a pc game that played similar to Age of War, where you spawned troops on left against troops spawning on right. This game also included buyable building materials and a player controlled catapult (maybe trebuchet). I believe you were playing as King Arthur or similar figure conquering Europe. It had cartoonish graphics and dialogue between main character and opposing leader (people like Baudica). I remember this game a few times a year but I have never found it any time I looked.

Dos Zelda-like/rpg, lots of beefy boys in middle-eastern setting (desert-stuff), '93 release. Also the D&D Dark Sun series comes to mind.

@mkeskimaki: @cloudleet:

These are both great suggestions, and the perspective and fidelity matches my memories pretty well, but I'm pretty sure that the mood was more "orcs or barbarians in the wasteland" than middle-eastern or gothic; the main character was neither of these.

Thank you for the suggestions though! I think my memories are so vague that they might even be corrupt and this game I'm thinking of doesn't exist, I don't know.

I'm looking for a 3D game on the PC that I believe could've been made in the 1990s. It involved walking around terrain collecting words. I remember there was a talking rock that wanted green jellybeans and you'd walk down a large hill and there was a river among rocky terrain and rocky textured walls. Later on, I remember a level where you were moving fast as if you were on a motorbike surrounded by lava and another that could've looked like you were sort of going through hyperspace - I just remember bright blue, water-like colours in this part.

The music in the game was also very vibing and it is something that still sticks with me to this day.

There seems to be no indication of it ever existing on the internet so it has been a great challenge trying to find anything. I once came across someone on another page I can't find anymore who also described parts of the game but that is the only source I've ever found.

Hi everyone,

I remember a game from my middle school days (around 2003-2005-ish) that was an online JavaScript or Flash game. In the game, you were launching bombs at other players by choosing the force and angle of trajectory (think angry birds but pvp). It was turn based, and each player stood on a hill and watched the bombs arc into the air and either came down perfectly to hit or miss the other player. It was really cool but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Anyone have a guess?

Hey there! Does anyone remember a Windows 98 era 2d-grid and turn based strategy game, similar to Empire or Global Conquest? (It might have come on one of those "100 great games" CDs but I don't really remember).

I've done some searching and it seems to have been pretty similar to Empire Deluxe, but with slightly newer graphics, and higher res tiles. Instead of the Empire-style mostly-monochrome unit markers, this game's tiles featured multi-color square icons. Infantry were green and tan, bulldozers yellow, etc. The basic goals and gameplay were pretty similar too. You build units: infantry, tanks, ships, planes, capture cities, gather resources, and fight the other player. There were quite a few different units late game, including "stealth fighter" and "commando", helicopters etc. I also think there was a bulldozer unit that could build roads and claim resources early on. There were different biomes, grass, forest, snow, desert, and water, and each biome had a movement penalty (grass: 1, forest: 2, desert: 2, snow: 3 iirc) and a different resource you could mine: gold, oil, trees. It may or may not have had an AI player, but it had hotseat multiplayer.

Hi! I have looked online to retrieve info on this game, but unsuccessfully so. Can't find any Archibald's Guide to the Wonders of World Geography gameplay? It's not My First Amazing World Explorer, or Georunner, or 3D Atlas 98. It's not one of the earliest Carmen Sandiego games as well. Also I have looked at Backpacker games, and Globetrotter. Backpacker Junior somehow feels familiar in style, so that might be helpful.

I'm only remembering certain parts of this old game I am looking for, very likely to be a Windows 95 game, probably around the 1993-1996 era, but distinctively I recall this:

- You can get confronted by police and get a fine for roaming in the night. So -> there is a clock at display with day and night time, and you have to earn money <-

- You can guess country flags, possibly city names, at least in Europe. I thought you had to get them right, otherwise you couldn't enter the country? It LITERALLY had crossing gates in it, with some clicking sound like you unlocked some pins in a machine. Sorry, that's vague but I can't describe it any other way.

- I thought there were voiceovers included, but not too sure.

- Here in the Netherlands we had a educational game developing company called Davilex (known for RedCat etc). I don't know the developer of this specific game, but I'm hopeful it wasn't a Dutch game noone recognizes, but a translated one. Could anybody help me out?

- Goal of the game might have been to search for something, or to travel itself. But I'm not sure about this anymore. Thank you for thinking about it with me in advance (:

I played this side scrolling shooter arcade game in the early 2000-2010ish and the only things I can remember are that the guy's basic weapon is shooting a banana, he was wearing a grass skirt(I think?) and one of the stages' bosses is a moon with a face. Sorry if I can't remember much.

There are many games like this, they are clones of the old DOS game "Scorched Earth". Perhaps the one you're looking for is Scorched 3D?

Thanks! I didn't realize there were so many similar games! This one was more of a Miniclips or Undergrounds type game, more cartoonish than Scorched Earth or Scorched 3D. I have been searching archive.org as @Jejking suggested but no luck yet. If I figure it out I will post it here, it was a lot of fun!

Theres this game i think i played around 2007-10 but it may be older(most likely). It was on windows pc.It looked a lot like the old resident evils, silent hill and the elder scrolls also. the camera was cinematic i think or third person and the only thing i can remember is being in a creepy building and the protagonist was wearing like a black t shirt or tank top he had buffed arms, long hair angry face and i think he had horns and i think little devils were attacking you(not sure about this). My description aint really good and maybe some things im saying maybe are off because i was really young when i first played it and dont remember much but if it reminds someone anything thats close to that PLEASE let me know. I really need to find it,Thank you..

This one has bugged me forever - it was a PC game, likely mid/late 90s. Think it was a single screen 2d platformer, and rather than save files, each level code was a postcard. It was cartoony, and I think one level might have been alcatraz/a prison?

Hi, I am trying to remember the name of a PC Action game (2017 and up), where you have a kind of soldier using weapons fighting aliens and queen aliens in an open world environment. (The key feature I remember is that you have to step at rocky terrain bacause if you step on soft soil, you alert the aliens. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the answer, but the concept reminds more of a Mass effect andromeda style game.

Old game been haunting my memory for years now:

1990s PC game, fantasy setting (possibly modern setting, not really sure), point and click gameplay. Very detailed scenes, I think it was first person view as there was never a player character on the screen. 2D graphics, nothing 3D. The only thing I could remember was collecting items for various puzzles. I can only remember a few screens from the game. One approaching a log cabin in a winter mountain scene, looking away from the cabin on the porch looking towards the mountains and inside the study of the cabin. On the desk in the cabin was an orange colored orb that would occasionally morph into a viking (barbarian?) character and then return to being a normal orb. Had the standard books and ink well w/ feather pen on the desk, no idea if there was a world globe or a map on the walls. I don't recall much of the interface, might have been dark gray/black. I think there may have been a fireplace and bookshelves in the study scene. Other than that I cannot remember much else as that was as far into the game me and my friends got as he had part of the game already done by the time I got to his house. Again it was an old PC point and click game from the 1990s but I cannot remember much else.

There was a game I used to play on android. Or possibly some other handheld system like the psp? Anyways it was set up in a sort of platform view. You were a guy you lived under the ground. Down there was a bunch of machines. If I remember correctly your wife was down there too but she had turned into something else? Anyway when you went up above the ground there were buildings and dumpsters and sometimes monsters I believe but all you could do I'd bash away at stuff you couldn't jump over anything really so everything had a health Bar and u could upgrade your dude to make his damage go up so you could smash thru things more quickly. Help?!

What's the game that you used to play where you were a character with a sword, fighting monsters and exploring dungeons? You could also cast spells and upgrade your equipment. You remember there was a boss at the end of each level, and the game had really cool music. Does anyone know the name of this game?

Hey all!

I have been searching for this game for some time and have had no luck at all. I remember playing it in the 90s on PC, it was right around the boom of the fullmotion video games although this one wasn't FULL motion, just partial.

The things I recall are that it is a futuristic punk sort of styled game, with NPC's that are played by real people (mainly just their heads) and you are in a building and can travel between levels via an elevator, some of the NPC's are holograms that appear as you enter the room and you are answering and asking questions of them, and if you pick enough incorrect prompts it is game over and you get thrown off the top of the building, and watch in first person as you plumet to your death.

I hope this is enough to refresh someone's memory!! And thanks in advance.

I’m searching for a PC game I got on a CD-ROM in the late 1990s. My mother got it in a garage sale, which I know doesn’t help with the search.

As far as I remember, it was a very short puzzle game. It was in top-down view. I played a robot, and to solve the puzzles, I had to destroy another robot and steal one of its parts to remove/circumvent an obstacle. I remember stealing a spring-activated lower body part, and use it to stomp another robot. I think the graphics tried to have a realistic feel, but it was so long ago I’m no longer sure.

It’s been bugging me because I remember having enjoyed it, but not much except that.

I remember about 10 years ago I used to play this birds eye view cop chase game

You could pick up some powerups and use them to destroy the police cars

By getting away for longer you would get more money which you could spend on buying better cars

If anyone need any more details I will try to describe it better but these are the basics I remember

Hi People, The game i'm trying to remember was a little game on some website where you could control a round character and you wer fighting with other character, round as well. You were fighting on different platform on the same screen, could jump and go back down on whatver platform you wanted, many worlds and character was available through the level, i remember you had different weapons depending on the character, like the round character with a cowboy hat had cowboy gun, etc but i don't remember the other kind of character, maybe an astronaut.. not sure, sometimes they were some kind of asteroids as well you had to avoid if it was a level in space i think.. if that ring a bell.. thank you!!

Hi guys, I'm new to this whole topic but wanted to see if anyone could find an old game I had back when I was little.

I don't have a lot of information about the game unfortunately other than the game was a somewhat box pushing puzzle game except with planets, you would need to direct the planets to certain points in the levels, sometimes I think you would need to do so while also avoiding obstacles. As a kid I had it on my old windows XP computer until stupidly I gave it away and haven't been able to recover it. I have no idea if there were physical copies of it but the version i played must have been downloaded online. It may seem like a silly game to try and find but there's a lot of childhood memories in that game for me so if anyone can somehow find it then i would greatly appreciate it, thank you.

Genre: Point and Click, Adventure

Estimated year of release: Probably around early to mid-2000

Graphics: 2D pixel art or 2D cartoon

Description: You played a male character, I think. I only remember a part where you were stuck in a pit while entirely naked. You had to grab some vines to make temporary clothes then you climbed out of the pit somehow, stole some clothes from a nearby clothesline, and then left the area. I think maybe time travel was involved, I can't remember very clearly on that. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

hey guys I've got two games really but i care more about the first. the first game was a early 2010s possibly up to 2015-16 multiplayer infected vs survivors (i say infected because i dont remember if they looked like zombies), it was most likely on pc as well. Graphically it was a blocky 3D pixel game and there might've been blood as well but the colours i remember were very vibrant and a very lime green. if i had to guess id say it was a flash game as i played many flash games at that time (i used to go on the friv websites but i dont think that it was on there). the second game is probably easier as it was on the friv4 website but it got removed it was a boxing game flash im guessing around the same time of 2010-16 and it featured Amy Winehouse who im 99% sure was called amy whitehouse (to avoid lawsuits or something i guess). If anyone knows anything about either games id love to know thanks.

PC Simulation game that was played around 2008-2010?

The game starts off with a woman inheriting a slaughterhouse from a deceased relative, I think it was her uncle? The premise of the game to slaughter and butcher as many animals and make money in a set time.

The animals are dropped off; Cows, horses, sheep, bears, gorillas and even the mice that run around that shop.

You have to tase them first and once they've been sedated you drag them to the bathtub where you slit their throat(?) to drain them of their blood. They turn from their expected color to like a blueish color.

After they've been drained of their blood, you proceed to skin them.

Once they've been skinned, you drag them to a table where you proceed to cut them up and the different types of cuts (like sausages, ribs, steaks) pop up as they are being hacked.

There's also a meat fairy(?).

Any help is greatly appreciated, I've been looking for this game for probably the past year or two.
