The Community Spotlight - 03/16/2012

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! As you probably already know some stuff got announced the other day...big stuff. For those that don't know already Screened, Tested, and Anime Vice have been sold to the company BermanBraun. Giant Bomb and Comic Vine are joining CBS Interactive. Now everyone realizes that there are a lot of emotions swirling around right but please try to be calm and civil. If you have any comments or opinions about the matter share them in the official announcement of the deal and avoid creating new threads about it on the forums. I'm still wrapping my head around all of this moving business. I'm going to miss seeing all of Whiskey Media together, and the bar. Oh, that bar. But, onward and upward. New things are typically pretty awesome. I figure the closer to good food the guys are, the better the content. Is that not accurate?

I also feel like there's a "Tear down that wall Mr. Gerstmann" video just itching to be made with the footage they just uploaded of Jeff tearing apart the cubicle.

It's like everything that has happened this week is ironic.

@Xpgamer7: Thanks man. I was worried this would be the week that broke the camel's back and full on Mento fatigue would be setting in. I probably won't be doing reviews that often though.

Also I feel bad (maybe only a little) about being the only list this week, since I'm sure I read a fairly good one about someone's top ten manliest games somewhere. EDIT: I was slightly off about its subject matter, but I believe it was this one here.

That wiki for Wasteland is pretty incredible! Good job, people!

Oh the community sure knows about...I still think that your super specific trivia questions about EverQuest comprise of 30% of all trivia questions on the site.

Ha! Yeah, that was before I even really got started on the wiki work. I still say that anyone who played EQ would not find most of those difficult.

There's about 350 of them I think.

Is this a question? T/F Not ever meant for that. In shadow of the colossus what was the name of the god you talk to? What it should be.

I did some real legwork in the Wiki with The Circle in Skyrim. I describe both The Circle and the Werewolf game mechanism in Skyrim. For those interested. Took me quite a few hours, also I would be very pleased if someone look over spelling and grammar as being Swedish, English is my third language ;-). Sorry if insulted someone with my shameless self-promotion.
