That's right folks, video games have become mainstream enough for their own MTV style reality show.
This is disgusting by the way.

Really? are you that surprised? There's a reality show about sharpshooters and multiple reality shows about baking fucking cakes. Judging by that, video games should be in the Olympics by now.

Clearly you've never heard of The Tester which is in its 3rd season. Its a huge spectacle with the goal of landing the most monotonous job in gaming!
Just watched it and one thing that stood out for me is how there is no explanation of how the "teams" are ranked in their playing. Its based on their score in the game, but were they on the same team? were they against bots? were they the same class? All I could gather was various cut up scenes with no relation to a timeframe. If there is another one before the 28th I may watch it in the hope another multiplayer map is played, other than that, no more!
I watched all of that. I don't know why.
Aside from the fact that none of the people come across as anywhere close to likeable, I really hate how glossed over everything is. When they're playing their elimination match, what's the game type? What are the team arrangements? What's the metric for placement? With out context, it's all meaningless. Not that it's trying to be anything more than shallow, surface-level reality show fodder, but still. It bothers me how blatant they are about that.
