I've noticed a few people start new threads & then delete the very first post so you can't see what the thread was about. This needs to be controlled before it gets out of hand.
The Griefers have arrived.
Simply use the Community Rating Tool as intended and these posts will get taken care of.
"I think posting about them just gives them more of what they want, attention."Hiding it & pretending it isn't a problem is not a way to handle it.
If you don't want to use the rating tool or can't wait, just look for a moderator that is online and send a PM. There is a list of us in the Forum FAQ sticky.

I just have this feeling that we're going to see a lot of this. I didn't see any all weekend & I've seen it twice today.
Lind, can you help me out please and negatively rate the second post in this thread - I just noticed that if the original poster deletes his first post in the topic, the option to rate it isn't there anymore and I'm not sure the community rating tool works on anything but the first post.

Just as I thought. The reporting function only works on the first post in a thread...if it gets deleted, there is no way for the community to notify the mods through rating. I'll send the guys a note about this and see what can be done. Personally I'd like to see the ability for people to delete their own forum posts removed - especially if it's the first post in a topic.
For these types of posts, just notify a moderator (or all of us) directly via PM until the staff comes up with a better way.

No rating on a deleted post. I agree with your thoughts on trying to keep the first thread alive, or least rate-able. Thanks for the info.
