If you’re anxious for more spooky puzzles, a sequel to The Room is on the way, and if you missed the hypnotic Hotline Miami on the PC, it's headed to PlayStation 3 and Vita.

Good news for two great indie games, so why not bunch ‘em in the same story?

Whatever you think of iOS games, Fireproof Games’ The Room is worth your time--it's smart and scary. I’ve been champing at the bit for any news on the sequel that's teased after you solve the game’s last puzzle.

The studio revealed a free update is coming for the original game in the summer, and will likely increase the tease factor tenfold. Then, this fall, a full-on sequel with a “new, more spectacular setting.”

Also, if you don’t own an Apple device, you’re in luck! It’s coming to Android by the end of the summer.

For Hotline Miami on Sony’s platforms, we’re also looking at a springtime release. Hotline Miami is being ported by Dutch developer Abstraction Games (responsible for ports of Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, and others). Original developer Dennaton Games is overlooking the port, but it’s already busy building a sequel (yes, already!). Additionally, Hotline Miami will be part of Sony’s pretty rad Cross-Buy program, which means buying one version gets you access to the other version.

Would Hotline Miami work with a controller? Seems like that games needs a lot of speed.

I own an Apple device! It's just an iPhone 4 that i'm locked into two years for. That the game doesn't work on. Not their fault but, :/

Played it with a controller, works great. Lock-on helps.

I played the entire game with the 360 controller. I actually preferred it to K/B&M.

Super pumped to be able to play this on the go and listen to some dope ass music. My morning commute is going to get a lot crazier.

Man Hotline Miami on the Vita might be pretty awesome. Especially since, you know, there's barely anything else to play on the Vita.

I would like a PC version of the Room very much. The game won't run on my IPod, and I don't own an Android tablet either.

I wonder if Amazon still lets you emulate an Android device.

I'm definitely going to play through Hotline Miami again on the Vita. Great move on their part.

When it comes to The Room, it's the only iOS game I've felt invested in since Game Dev Story.

YAY I could finally play Hotline Miami! Not sure how it will react on a controller though, it seemed necessary to have a mouse.

On the Vita it could probably use one of the touch screens, but I could see dual stick shooter controls working quite well with the game. Not too fond of the right stick on the Vita though, so I hope that's not the only option they put in. This is definately something I'll buy for my Vita, even though I bought a copy on GOG at launch.

I played the whole game with a 360 gamepad. A real blast.

Good for Hotline Miami to get console support. I always thought that it should have to begin with.

Can't wait to play the room, I've been interested since patrick posted that trailer way back when. I don't think I can afford or find too much interest in a hotline miami port either, since I'm so close to S ranking it on PC anyway.

Time to take a trip to the Steam discussions page.

It's easy to be dismissive of folks having issues with a game that you're not having. I myself was like "Weird, none of these issues have effected me" but then I went to launch it about a month ago and got kicked to the desktop before I could yell "NO WAIT". Haven't been able to play since, even having gone through the 500+ comments in the support thread.

@sooty:Thats only if you have a desire to play PS1 and PSP games. Most of those games I don't have a desire to revisit. The majority of games that make me want a Vita are games like Hotline Miami that are getting ported or are cross platform, like Guacamelee and Soundshapes.

This is literally all I cant think of whenever anyone mentions The Room.

Also, hadn't they planned to bring Hotline: Miami to Mac months ago? Is that still a thing that's happening?

People have their tastes but when people say "there is nothing to play" on any platform really they are just baiting people. Even the WiiU, for how underwhelming and how much it's under performing sales wise, has a bunch of stuff to play on it.
