I guess they'll have to if they want to avoid making a mess out of the front page, blog post are not the most ideal for a lot of info. Haa that front page looks crazy!
Its really cool. But I have to admit, the first thing it reminded me of when I first saw it was Gamespot's home page whenever they get a new big advert. When they skin the site. But this is much cooler

And it sounds like they're being very proactive with the adverts anyway. I mean it's taken them this long so you'd presume when they do implement them they're focusing on doing it right?

Yeah I know adverts are a good thing, but putting such an awesome front page skin on before they put advertising skins on will just make the adverting seem horrible.

They said the adverts wont be intrusive or overbearing, and I think this fits the bill. I imagine they'll use that top space (where it says "All week in Tokyo) for ad space, but I can't see them skinning the whole front page

Anyways, I couldn't agree more with the rest of you. The design is absolutely beautiful and quite eye-catching. It will be sad to have ads replace the awesomeness, but we've been spoiled and business is business.

I'm sure Jeff and the crew will do their best to incorporate ads that are not incredibly imposing. It looks like they are going for a GameSpot kind of design in the placement. As long as they keep it field-related, this is fine.
A bit off-key: Just wondering if Eidos will ever advertise on GB. That'd be pretty awkward!
