Wow, seems like some of those deaths are not the fault of the game, the heart one especially, seems like his doctor should have found that and advised him. Also theseare not exactly the most common things to happen.

Murdering someone with a video game controller is not a video game related death. If I bashed someone's face in with a hard-bound book, it wouldn't be a reading related death.

These people sound messed up to begin with. If it was 1906 they would have found something else to become addicted to other than video games. An addiction is not the problem, it's the person behind it. The deaths in this list are sick but video games should not be blamed. These people should have been given help, simple as. It could have been booze,drugs or even tv. People need to stop hopping on the "VIDEO GAMES ARE THE DEVILS WORK" bandwagon.
Reading that makes me sick. Why would you RANK how people died? What. The. Fuck. The story about the kid killing his parents about Halo 3 makes me ashamed of human beings. Seriously? Killing your parents because you probably were failing at school or wasting your time? These people are all messed up, and the one with the father who killed his young daughter over a broken Xbox is also despicable. These are horrible stories. Still, you can list many deaths related to music and movies but, no, that is already accepted in culture without controversy. I know I am coming from both sides on this argument, but this is a horrible story nonetheless.
They don't have the one where the two Koreans went to the gaming center to play WoW for, like, 20 hours straight and left their baby at home...and then came home and their kid was dead from neglect. Now THAT is a fucked-up video game related death.
As far as ranking deaths being despicable, whatever. I think the fact that there are deaths like this to rank in the first place is more despicable than the list itself. = /

Controversy brings viewers, equaling more hits and more chances of advertisers increasing their payout to Spike. Business is usually ruthless.

Bizarrely, the girl was brought to her mother unconscious and soaking wet because Howard had tried to revive her in the bathtub. He refused to tell police his reason for beating the girl.
Well I see that a lot of people here don't like the fact that spike decided to make a list about this shit...well let me tell you that the people at spike t.v. are a bunch of assholes...they don't care, as long as it makes them a quick buck and it puts them in the mouths of other people. I never really liked spike t.v. that much and it has the same amount of crap as G4 does.
