There are now Anime and Wrestling forums

Hey, we've been talking about doing this for a while since the megathreads for Anime and Wrestling have gotten so big, but talking with Jeff today, we decided to make dedicated forums for Wrestling and Anime so those topics can live and breathe a bit. If you'd like to visit Wrestling, you can do that here, and you can visit Anime here. If you don't want to see topics from these boards, you can use the Customize Your Feed list to remove them from the All Topics view of the forums (the default when you click on Forums in the header). You can find that on the right side of that page. Enjoy.

And because I know I'll be asked, we obviously have the capacity to add more main forums in the future, but we'll probably stick with just these for a bit to see if there are any technical or moderation issues that might arise. It's been a long time since we added a forum and I don't know if anything'll break.

[insert joke about them being the same thing]

If any of you even think about posting about Metal Gear in the Anime forum we'll.... I dunno, think about moving it to the correct forum or something. Or leave it where it is. Metal Gear Solid is just Anime really.

So how do you “hide” forums when you’re on mobile? Cause I’d definitely love to not ever see the wrestling forum ever again

I don't think that module displays on mobile but if you Request Desktop Site it should appear and you can check/uncheck as you like.

@rorie: Is there a way to filter out specific game forums? Sometimes I've wanted to put game pages/forums on hide for a while because they're story heavy games and I know it'll take me a while to get around to.

@rorie: I own an iPhone (I know I’m sorry Rorie but Im too old and I don’t want to learn how android works on phones!) ..and safari doesn’t have that option. I did try Chrome on iOS and I requested the desktop site and the forums didn’t really appear to change when you do so.

Not the end of the world but maybe another thing to put in the excel spreadsheet of possible things to add down the road.

Obviously, my posts on wrestling anime should go in the Anime forum, but I’m unclear if my posts about cosplaying wrestlers should go in the Anime or Wrestling forums?

@humanity: iPhone totally does that have option. On Safari you should 'Aa' in the left side of the address bar. Tap on that to bring a menu where you'll see Request Desktop Website. Other browsers on iOS should have these options in more obvious places.

Also, thank fuck I can finally hide all the damn rastlin'

@colourful_hippie: I actually did eventually stumble onto it but when I requested desktop site it didn’t seem to make a difference - no biggie I just did it when I got home.
