There are a lot of bad games. This is quite an obvious statement, as probably most of you know this. However, some bad games think of an idea that is actually a good one; it just isn't executed well or is forgotten under the layers of bullshit they made over it. Which of tese features do you think should be remembered when making 'good' games?
Obviously 'bad' games are debatable; what is a 'bad' game? Still, hopefully we can just give our opinion without people attacking us about the game we have chosen-we do have a good enough community...I think.
I personally think The Conduit's idea of only being able to speak to friends works well enough. You won't make many friends online, and this way, you won't have annoying 14 year olds, such as myself, making racist remarks and talking about how your mum needs to shave (although I've never done that).
Things that 'bad' games got right
kill.switch for sure on how cover could be used offensively.
and The Conduit's new idea isn't that groundbreaking, it's been implemented before (family setting control on the 360) and there is a party chat on the 360.
You're 14 though so I'm not going to bash you on why you play the conduit...but seriously...why?
I always thought The Getaway was quite ahead of its time. It was panned by the critics, especially for its minimal HUD and its health system of blood appearing and then having to rest to get better. However, this is now being implemented in almost every game.

It was...alright, but it didn't do anything for me, and I love shooting games.

I loved The Getaway personally. Great game, and I agree with what you think-quite ahead of its time.
Well, since The Conduit counts as an old game, then Counter-Strike should too. I loved how this game had rounds. When you died, you had to wait until the next round started to spawn again, so dying meant something. And at the end of each round either the Terrorists or the Counter-Terrorists were winnners.
I haven't played any FPSes for years, but of the ones I did play, I didn't like playing multiplayer in the ones where you respawn, like Battlefield 1942. Although, if you had to wait until the war was over to respawn that would be one hell of a wait!
Edit: Oh, I confused "bad" with "old" because of your 8-bit Mario avatar.

Made it myself.
/random garble,
Personally I hate when people say Gears of War made the cover system (yes I have heard that from 13 or 14 year olds) When well the first game I played that had a cover system that was fun was Kill Switch, Sure bad story that made no sense but the challenge of the game was good and the mechanics on the cover system were even better.

It gave rise to gears of war and every other 3rd person shooter that's out now a days.
" Everyone hates on Tenchu Z, but if there's one thing that game did right it's the stealth kills. They were brutal and very satisfying to pull off. "
That is one of my favourite games this generation. Although it was basically a PS1 game (except I wore camo trousers....) I had so much fun messing with the AI and tryout diffrent strategies as well as playing through it multiple times sitting beside my best friend doing every level twice, once in the stupidest and craziest fashion (me) and doing it "properly" (him). I so need to buy that again now..

It did the whole "collecting monsters to fight" thing right
