Last April we got MK9, Portal 2, witcher 2 and LA Noire. This April we have Prototype 2 and I'm not even sure if theres hype for that game. On the other hand this May is looking better than last year's May.
Xenoblade Chronicles is coming out in April, I'm sure people are excited for that. Other than that I can't think of any substantial releases that month, wish we could skip to May.
I feel like someone can argue for Trials Evolution having the play value/frustration value of those four games combined.
Well portal people act like portal 2 is the 2nd coming of Christ, I'm not sure you would win that argument.

Well it's coming out as a gamestop exclusive and I live 2 hours from the nearest one. I'd 100% buy if I could go to the target 10 minutes away and get it.
The Witcher 2 with more content is being re-released and for the 360 this time as well... that has me more excited than all the games of last year combined. Plus, Xenoblade Chronicles too. That game is fucking amazing. I feel these two titles alone blow last year out of the water.

Skullgirls is FINALLY coming out on Xbla? Hopefully a non-broken non capcom fighting game. new IP. Im excited about the idea of the game just by itself. AND it seems like it will be good.
April seems alright. Xenoblade comes out. Sadly there is no gamestop where I live so I'm out of luck on that one. Supposedly SkullGirls is coming early April as well.

Xenoblade Chronicles is really the only game I care about next month, so I'm set.
I'm cool with it because i still have games from last April i have not even beaten. Not to add all the games last few months i still need to pick up kingdom of amalur, asura's wraith, binary domain, final fantasy 13-2, 3ds games, vita games etc etc. So i welcome a few months break of crappy games, i need to catch up.
The Witcher came out in May last year, not April. Last April had Portal 2. This April has nothing for me. Admittedly no month has anything for me this year :(
i prefer this April. as a non-PC guy, i am getting Witcher 2 this April, and i have no interest in MK or Portal, and had an only lukewarm reaction to LA Noire. therefore april 12 > april 11 for me. plus, i have an enormous backlog of games that will fill any void, which i can't say the same for when referring to this time last year.
Witcher 2 and LA Noire both came out in May last year. I loved Mortal Kombat, and thought Portal 2 was good, but this April I will finally get to play Witcher 2 on 360. I loved the first Witcher on PC, but had to wait for 2 because my laptop can't run that game. I am pumped to say the least; then in May we get Max Payne 3 and Diablo 3.

L.A. Noire and The Witcher 2 didn't even come out in April, not sure why people are discussing The Witcher. (in reference to the PC version I mean)
Which is great, because now I can eliminate my backlog. I'm only excited for Far Cry 3 and Bioshock 2 for the rest of the year, so should give me time to finish the handful of games I still need to play, plus, might have to buy some of those HD collections soon.
Witcher 2 for 360, and maybe some arcade stuff I guess. So yeah it's pretty thin in April this year, but May will be super busy for me w/Max Payne 3, GR:FS, and Diablo 3, basically all at once. Too many games to finish in the backlog to care much really anyway. This thread reminds me that I have so many games loaded on my pc that I haven't even started :(.
Don't write off April until you see the April fools of that year. Last years was kinda underwhelming compared to some of the insanity of previous years.
