"Dude why do you always make threads hating on anything that most people like?  Sure Halo and Call of Duty are popular these days, so what.  Just because something is mainstream doesn't make it all that bad.  Personally I am not a big fan of the music scene that's going on today but whatever, times change there's no need to have a vendetta against a whole generation because you do not like a certain aspect of it. 

Instead of looking for reasons to not like something why not look at the positive things.  I mean yeah Call of Duty and Halo are some of this generation's most popular series but they will influence everything that comes after this generation.  Plus what about other great games like Mass Effect and Bioshock, there is plenty to like about this generation.

Did you just say Halo 3 doesn't allow for competition?  It definately does, lol.
COD4 not so much really, but if you look at MLG (basically the only major gaming league that matters), COD4 isn't a huge game. 

But god, I can't beleive you just said an arena shooter is good for competition.  Yea, back in the days where there was arena and spray and pray shooters, not now.

That's not at all what I was talking about -- I don't even play Counter-Strike.I have, however, been to several MLG events over the past few years (playing Halo), and have had a great time at each event that I've attended. Showing up to a big tournament like that and competing against other talented players, with a team of friends by your side, is a blast. I've got nothing but praise for the MLG organization and their tournaments. Like I said earlier, I could care less if you think electronic sports are stupid; I've got first-hand experience with MLG and competitive gaming, and I find it to be an enjoyable pastime."
