This site needs mods. Why are there so many trolls and spammers?

"The site just launched yesterday and the staff is very busy fixing the bugs and approving the enormous amount of submissions that have been flooding in.  The whole flood of spam and trolls always dies down soon after launch of a website.  When the staff is ready(which won't be for a little while accord to snide),they will select who they think would be the best moderators and ask them to join the team.  Just hang in there.

This site could have 10,000 mods and we would still get tons of trolls/spammers.. i have to say for such a small staff of moderators this site controls spam/trolls better then most forums who have 3-4x more mods.
