Too Many Moons! A Mario Odyssey Game Show.

Format:

  • Two teams of two players each. Take turns: A, B, A, B
  • Each player, on their turn, gets two minutes to collect as many moons as they can.
  • Earning one moon adds one minute to the clock, up to an additional three minutes in that turn.
  • If your team is behind by 5 or more moons at the start of your turn, start with three minutes instead (max six minutes).
  • Earning a moon gives you a point.
  • Multi-moons count as three, in scoring and minutes.
  • Once during your turn, before the timer ends, you can spend one moon to add one minute to your time.
  • When the timer ends, your turn ends, no exceptions. Pause the game and hand over the controller.
  • Teamwork and communication is highly encouraged.
  • Game guide should be unnecessary.
  • Bets are encouraged.
  • Clock is paused on long cut-scenes.
  • Dying on your turn, or your turn ending without collecting a moon means you spin the bad wheel. (mostly bad stuff for your team, some good stuff for the other team)
  • Getting three moons on your turn gives you a spin on the good wheel. (mostly good stuff for your team, some bad stuff for the other team)
  • Getting neither means a spin on the medium wheel. (anything goes)
  • At the start of every episode, if you have enough moons to move to the next area, you must move to the next area.
  • You can return to old worlds only through paintings, and can stay there if you want. New episodes always start at the newest area.

  • Once you reach Dark Side, the game changes - final round
  • Turns are now 1 minute long. Winning team gets one extra second per turn for every moon they are in the lead.
  • Race to the end, team that beats the game after capturing the last object wins the game.
