Final Fantasy X (Loved FFVII, but X got me very misty eyed)
Street Fighter Series: Arcade Cabinet Edition (Arcade - you can literally choke a dude that usually hides behind a Gamertag and headset)
GTA IV (I was not expecting to really love this game)
Burnout Paradise (never played anything like this before)
Tribes (best team based game ever made... with jetpacks!!!)
top 5 games that you will remember forever
The Secret of Monkey Island
Goldeneye 007
Baldur's Gate
Transport Tycoon (still holds up in its awesomeness)
Rome: Total War
theres many more but since were only allowed five
shenmue
sonic the hedgehog
mortal kombat 2
resident evil 2
super mario bros 3
In no order whatsoever:
I hate theses top 5 things because I'm really indecisive and always change my list. Anyway the ones I'll go with now:
Grim Fandango
Half-life
Monkey Island 3
Pokemon Yellow
Max Payne
These aren't necessarily my favourite games of all time just the ones that are particularly memorable.
Pokemon Blue: First game I ever got on computer emulation (shh) which my computer barely ran.
It's always hard to narrow these down, but the following have consistently been mentioned at one time or another on most of my various "favorites" lists. [Additional note: WOW isn't so much a favorite anymore, but since I did it for 2 years, it is a game I will remember forever]
"heres mine:I glanced at your avatar and thought for a second you were Wallace. In fact, that was my reason for clicking on this thread. While I'm slightly disappointed that you're not, I will continue and post five games that I'll remember forever. There are several others, but these are the ones I'll remember for the most special reasons.Halo 3MGS4Sonic AdventureGTA IVAssassins Creed"
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- Pokémon Blue
- Final Fantasy VII
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Grand Theft Auto IV
Wow.
- Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past - SNES -
The day I played this game was the day I realized that gaming would be my number one hobby. I was completely amazed at the amount of freedom I had to explore the world without being led by hand and how I was still able to find my way through to its finale. I remember accidentally coming across the invisibility cloak or the first time I picked up one of the medallion and watching every enemy around me decimated by thunderbolts from the sky. I had to force myself to finish it not because I was getting tired of the main story but because I didn't want the game to end.
- Donkey Kong Country 2 - SNES
This Is Why
- Viewtiful Joe - Gamecube
This is when substance took over graphics for me. Graphics have never been important to me since. A blurry, thumbsized screenshot in Game Informer turned me off to the game, but I ended up picking it up anyway without realizing it was the very same game I had seen in GI months ago. I loved the asthetic, the style, the music, and the outlandish main character. It was all so viewtiful.
- Super Mario Bros. - SNES
First video game I ever played. I first played it at a cousin's house and my dad could see how much fun I was having and the very next day came home with an SNES with the game packaged inside if I'm remembering correctly. My parents probably regret getting me into games so much nowadays but the feeling of playing a completely new medium for the first time is something that I get a taste of everytime a new, fully fleshed out Mario game comes out. It takes me back, which is what Nintendo's secret weapon has been all along.
- Age of Mythology/Age of Empires II - PC
First time I ever played a PC game, let alone master one. In Age of Empires II I was able to win 3 vs 1 matches against an aggressive comp and come out on top with relative ease. Hadn't gotten into playing online back then though, so who knows how good I really was. Age of Mythology was the first game I ever played online and I enjoyed every minute of it. The custom maps of the world and the several game mods to the multiplayer hooked me in for so long. I've sometimes spent up to ten hours taking turns with my younger brother playing matches online. That one summer was a memory I'll never forget.
Super Mario Bros - The first game I ever owned and the first game I ever beat.
Mario 64 - The jump into 3D was amazing, from Mario's rubber face to grabbing Bowser by the tail
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Practically Perfect in every way
Resident Evil 2 - The first time gaming got me so involved I audibly screamed the first time the licker appeared
The Monkey Island Series - all in one, that would take up 80% of my list
Zelda: Ocarina of Time- this is the game that got me into gaming
Battlefield: Bad Company- i have played this game a lot, its only 2nd to fallout 3, i love it
Fallout 3- great game to waste my time to
No More Heroes- it is the most unique story i have ever heard
Portal- game made me laugh, i still remember its jokes
Conkers Bad Fur Day - The multiplayer on this was just simply delightful running around as the Tediz with katanas and guns just put my 5 year old mind in heaven back then.
The Legend of Zelda Oracle Of Seasons - The best zelda there is imo, I loved the fuck out of this game, id do anything to find a copy of this game, i had ages but i lost it.
Resident Evil 4 - I just couldnt get enough of this game, blasting ganados heads off with a shotgun was as good as it got for me.
Jet Set Radio Future - Just an awesome game.
TESIV Oblivion - I spent hours playing this game, it fucking amazed me.
Banjo Kazooie: Rare at it's finest.
1. Final fantasy 6
2. Super mario 3 (all star version)
3. R.C Pro am (first game i actually remember playing)
4. X-wing vs. Tie fighter
5. Quake 2
LoZ: Ocarina of Time (first 3-D game, took me a year to beat because i was still a noob at gaming)
Kingdom Hearts: (i grew up with Disney and played some FF when i was younger)
Metal Gear Solid 3: (Almost cried at the end)
Shadow of the Colossus: (Pretty powerful, emotional game)
Megaman Zero gba: The best story in a megaman game EVER
Paper Mario - Best RPG ever, the fact that Nintendo turned it into a platformer is disgraceful.
MGS4 - Simply one of the most brilliantly crafted games of all time, virtually no mistakes.
Bioshock - May only be second to MGS4 in its greatness.
Resident Evil 4 - I'll never forget sitting in my room alone at night taking on the two chainsaw sisters with no ammo, I thought i was going to wet myself.
Dark Cloud series - While technically not as good of a game as MGS4 or Bioshock it to this day is my favorite game series. In fact I'm playing through Dark Cloud 1 right now and I'm gonna play through Dark Cloud 2 when I'm done.
Kingdom Hearts Series
Pokemon Blue
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner
The Legend of Dragoon
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
- Mega Man 2 (NES) - Classic sprite animation, tunes that stick in your head, and awesome names to beat. When I was pretty young, so it leaves a bigger impression.
- Homeworld (PC )- I got this game after the family recently purchased a new computer, and was completely blown away by the graphics and the true realization that 3-D strategy had come to fruition.
- Final Fantasy 7 (PS1) - My first real rpg. So it will always be in my mind as the standard.
- Crash Team Racing (PS1) - Coupled with Alicia Keys' album Keys in A Minor, this will be lodged in the brain forever as my brother and I shilled countless hours away during simpler times.
- TIE-Fighter (PC) - I'm a huge Starwars guy, and this was totally awesome at the time. Not only did you get to play as the bad guys, but just the idea of flying a TIE fighter was totally awesome when I was that age. It still is.
Super Mario Bros. 3 - played it for so many hours when I was 7, sucked when summer ended and I couldn't play it on weekdays (oh how times change)
Here goes:
Goldeneye (N64) - Probably still the FPS I'm best at. N64 was my first console, and I played the hell out of this game, alone and with friends. Also, the movie is one of my favourite Bond-movies.
Final Fantasy X (PS2) - I had played RPGs before this one, but this one surpassed all of them in every area.
No One Lives Forever 2 (PC) - My favourite PC game of all time. Love the humor, the characters, the voice acting, just one of the games Ive had the most fun with.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - So charming, so groundbreaking, so amazing. Navi didnt even annoy me very much at the time. :p
Mario Kart 64 (N64) - Best example of why online multiplayer can never live up to local multiplayer in my opinion.
Honourable mentions: Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Indigo Prophecy, Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Banjo & Kazooie, Suikoden V, Persona 4, Tekken Tag Tournament, Soldier of Fortune & Spyro the Dragon 2: Gateway to Glimmer.

Chrono Trigger (Favorite Game)
Street Fighter (The Original before SF2)
Gears Of War (Paintball As A Video Game = Awesome)

Age Of Empires (First big RTS)
MechWarrior 2 (First Pc Game)
Unreal Tournament (Fav FPS Still)
Diablo 2 (I hated Diablo originally)

I guess this is in order of what I first played.
Super Mario Bros.- One of the first games I ever played. It had me hooked right from the first level.
Wolfenstein 3D - The first PC game I ever played it blew my mind, you can eat dog food and open secret doors!
Donkey Kong Country - I remember this in my childhood dearly, I would get every secret item, it had gorgeous visuals.
Metal Gear Solid - It was like I was playing an action movie, Kojima did some crazy stuff in this game, you had to change you controller port for god sake.
Grand Theft Auto 3 - Wow this is one of my all time favorites I remember powering this up freshman year and playing for hours, the open world and story was amazing. I never played anything like it, I would show it to my friends and they would be in awe of what you could do.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Great game play, cut school until beaten.
River Raid - Earliest memory of gaming. My dad played this game on his 2600.
Silent Hill 2 - Creepiest, scariest game ever. How could you forget such horror.
Oblivion - Spent more time on this then any other. Must have racked up 1000hrs.
Zelda: The Wind Waker - It was always fun doing all the dungeons with friends, and I might be alone here, but I loved the graphics. There was just something about this game that I loved.
No One Lives Forever 2 - The best mix of action, stealth and comedy I've ever seen in a game. WHERE IS NOLF3, MONOLITH?!!?
Assassin's Creed - The world in the game is incredible, definitely one of the most interesting games I've ever played.
Half Life (either one of them) You can't get much better from a FPS than these games.
Halo 1 - Great story, and doing co-op with friends on legendary was awesome.
Red Faction - Geo-mod and multiplayer. Enough said.
5 just ain't enough.
MGS1 on PS1
Faxanadu
Super Metroid
Everquest - This game created so many memorable moments for me, I really miss it.
In no particular order:
Final Fantasy IX - My favourite game of all time, and one of my fondest gaming memories.
Gunstar Heroes - One of the first games I played. The game was incredibly good, providing hours if fun and many play throughs.
Pokemon Blue - My first Pokemon game. The amount of time I poured into this was unbelieveable.
Persona 4 - Helped revive a passion for games that I thought I'd lost.
Metal Gear Solid 2 - Me and my brother played through this a crapload of times. We also acted out the opening everytime we saw it, which was awesome.
