Trade Used Games at Walmart
Well, now it looks like its Walmart's turn in the used game business. I'm curious to say how much the trade in value will be. I would also like to know if they do the Gamestop thing, if you want trade in credit or actual cash. Also if you can trade in games to buy something else like a bag of chips. Anyways check out the Neocrisis link for the article and pictures of the vending machine.
I wonder if the prices will be the exact same at GameStop. If they are lower... GameStop goes out of business...
Yeah companies are just trying to cash in on the craze. Radio Shack and Amazon do this too. There are probably a few more places that you wouldn't expect as well.
It'd be a funny thing if they gave you the same crap value for used games for general store credit. Like you say, imagine trading in your copy of Gears of War for a bag of chips.

And this:

AWE-SOME. Not the actual way you trade in games, but I don't have to go out 45 minutes to a GameStop, but now a simple 15 minute drive. Soon to be 5 minutes next year. I honestly hope this goes up in my local store pretty soon, hopefully the trade-in values are *somewhat* good. I need some extra cash, and I hope they accept a good library. I doubt both. : \
Any word on when these will hit everywhere? If they haven't already.
Couldn't I go online and find these bar codes and just scan it and insert a blank DVD box?
Or hell, how about just include a blank game disk.

As long as its kept glitch free and its kept to the latest systems then this might actually work, REDBOX actually work pretty good and are really intergrated this might actually take off.
I hope it isn't WalMart-only spending, I'd rather prefer actual cash. I'm sure they could have someone there the whole time making sure your putting in actual games. I have been reading posts about how you trade them in and go to the Department to buy the games with the credits. Assuming you can't get cash, I just don't to use the credits I got on video games. Now I'm starting to confuse myself.
As far as duping, you use some type of account to login, so you probably have to tie a credit card or debit card to it.
I don't know about trading in scratched up games, that could still work.

Does this mean they will sell used games, too? Or can you only purchase used games with the credit received from turning in games? I don't trust vending machines to give me a bag of Fritos, let alone proper credit for a game I deposit. Why is Wal-Mart so insistent on cutting human employees out of their stores? I predict, one day, all Wal-Marts will be manned by robots and considering the number of stores existing worldwide, this is how Skynet takes control. T-800s know to shop smart, shop Wal-Mart.
